Large 38 1/2" Mounted Barracuda -Vintage Taxidermy
Awesome. Large, Vicious Mounted 38 1/2" Barracuda! OK. I don't know squat about taxidermy(fish especially) so I'm counting on you experts out there to hip me to the facts. I don't understand the whole fish replica/cast from a real fish thing. This thing, in many ways looks real to me, and in others not so much. There are scales-the fiberglass ones don't seem to have them. The fins and gills aren't plaster or fiberglass, but they seem like brittle paper.and they seem real to me as well. Yes, the mouth is filled with plaster and there is almost no detail on the wall side of the'cuda. What I do know is that this thing is around 60 years old. It's in very nice condition, but it has some(fixable? issues. The front pectoral fin has a crack in it(see photo 2) it isn't a break and I believe that it can be easily ... moremended and touched up. some of the scales have come off of the mid-section(see photo 3) there are some teeth missing and there are some small spots around the mouth where the paint has flaked off(photo 4) None of these things are quickly noticeable when taking the fish in as a whole; the only thing going through your mind is that you're glad that you're not in the water with this freakin' nightmare. Vintage Mounted Rainbow Trout Fishing Taxidermy 34" x 13" This is a great mounted Rainbow Trout. It weighs 8lbs 14oz including the finished mounting. It is very detailed with shades of grey& the beautiful pink stripe down the side. Sharp teeth and fins. It has some minor paint chipping under the mouth, minor repair needed to tiny fins and could use a good cleaning. Has solid mounting on the back. I am not a fish expert by any means so please feel free to ask any questions or if you need more photos. This was purchased on Roanoke Island Virginia in an antique/collectible shop. Largemouth Bass Vintage Taxidermy Fish Skin Mount Cabin Decor Fishing Trophy
This is a nice looking vintage largemouth bass taxidermy mount. It measures about 20" in length. And the real skin was used in the mount. There is a small crack on the top of the head area(pictured) which appears to have been repaired at some point and is barely noticeable. There is also a mark on the side of the gill area(pictured) I'm not sure if that was on the live fish or not, it's minor but still worth mentioning. This is a sailfish recognition plaque from an Acapulco taxidermy company. Date of sailfish catch is 01/03/1970. By a female angler. Fish measured 8'1" long. Nice fish! Vintage brown trout measures 14 inces long mounted on 19x5inch driftwood board with hanger. This is an older mount still in nice shape. This mount was cleaned and a new coat of wet gloss was added. This is a vintage taxidermy flying fish. Recently purchased at an estate sale. I am unsure of it's age. After doing a bit of research on Google, I believe it is a Fauna Grecae Dactylopterus Vulgaris. It is in good used and vintage condition with a few chipped points and, what appears to be, 2 repaired wings. It measures 12 1/2" long and 16" across. There is a hook on the back for hanging. Walleye Real Taxidermy Driftwood wall mount Vintage
For sale is a Walleye mount that has been on the wall for many years. It was old even before i bought it! It is a real fish that has been mounted. Not one of the fiberglass ones of today. The walleye is about 19 inches from nose to tail. It is mounted by a peg sticking out of the driftwood. The driftwood also had a hanger on the back for mounting to a wall. The driftwood is a hefty piece weighing in at 3 pounds and a half pounds! The condition of this piece overall is pretty good. There are some knicks on the tail and maybe some on the fins, i tried to get them in the pictures the best i could. If there are any questions please feel free to ask. Northern pike musky head mount vintage macabre oddity taxidermy
This is a vintage musky or pike head mounted to a little block of wood. About 6" of projection from the wall when hanging, and 4" high. It looks like it was prepared by filling it partially with plaster of paris. Some of the skin is cracking through, but it has a very unique character looking back at you with yellow eyes and little stubby teeth. I cannot verify for sure if it is 100% authentic. It may not be a fish at all but an alien baby for all I know.

Vintage PIRANHA FISH TAXIDERMY paper weight Collectible
You are bidding on a taxidermy Piranha paper weight with the Brazilian flag marker. It is about 4&1/2 inches in diameter and about 1 inch in height. There is a crack noted on the 4th picture not easily seen unless pointed out. Piranha are found in the Amazon basin. Orinoco, remote rivers of the Guyanas. Paraguay- Parana, and in the Sao Fransisco River system. All piranhas have a single row of sharp teeth in both jaws. T hey are tightly packed and interlocking via small cusps. These t riangular. Vintage Taxidermy Real Skin Striped Bass Fish Mount Huge 37 lbs.... 40" long
You are bidding on a Vintage stuffed Striped bass. The Striper is huge. It measures right at 40" in length and 17" from the top of the fin to the bottom of the dorsal fin.The fish weighed 37 lbs when caught. I'm guessing the piece is 20 years old. Its a nice Large piece that would look great over that fireplace in your cabin or in that man cave. The mount is older and does have a few minor issues. The fins have seen better days but still look good. The body is in overall good condition showing minor cosmetic issues. Nothing major or anything that detracts from hat awesome vintage look. This fish in itself is rare simply because it weighed 37 lbs. I know stripers get huge but I have never caught one this big. To have a few this size stuffed it would cost you at least $300. This is a real lobster. It has been on display in a museum for 40+ years. It is attached to a 26" x 21" rustic frame. All parts of the lobster are real except the antennae.which were broken and replaced with tree branches. The lobster measures 21" from its tail to its head.the small claw is 12" x 6" and the large claw is14" x 8" The whole lobster measures 36 1/2" from its claw the end of its tail. Florida, from Lake Miona in December of 1986. Ideal for a wall hanger in your Mancave/bar/cabin. This belonged to a friend who caught this fish and no longer has room for it in his new mancave. Taxidermy is well done, By Dolfi in Serrento Florida and cost $8.00 per inch back in 1986, and has original slight flaws like they all do. I wiped down, as it was dusty from years of hanging. Fish measures approx. 23 inches, but tail is somewhat curved, so possibly 25" Huge girth made this a heavy fish. What a impressive story for you bass fishermen to tell it anyway you want. By the way, this fish was caught on the norteast corner of the lake. This item will be double boxed, with innerbox ... morecovered in foam peanuts, and protection around it. 54" Barricuda. Mounted Stuffed Taxidermy. Wall Mount. Vintage.
Folks. This is Bob the Barricuda. He is about four-and-a-half feet long, 54" He was taxidermied by J.T. Reese Taxidermist Inc. in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. My guess is that he is from the 1950s or 1960s. He is in worn condition. The tips of all the fins are/were damaged, with the tips frayed or broken. The top rear fin had about an 1-1/2" tip missing, I made a new tip out of Femo. It is glued on with a wood brace holding it on. I did various touch up painting on the fin tips and around his lips. I did an okay, not great, job with the painting. Please see photos. My touch-up painting is a bit too gray, and not metallic enough. One of his front lower teeth was also missing. I made a replacement tooth from Femo, painted it half-decently, and glued it in. So, Bob is only in fairly good condition. It is a one-sided mount, meant to be ... morewall hung. The wire wall hang is strong; he's ready to be on a new wall. So, that said, here's the story, as it was told to me. Bob is a Republican barricuda. I know that might sound odd, but it was important to the fellow I got it from to communicate that to me. I'm now passing it along to you. Bob the Barricuda is a Republican, but he gets along with Democrats too. I researched. J.T. Reese Taxidermist Inc. on the Florida Secretary of State website. It was in business as a corporation from 1957 to 1994. I found a 1993 article on Reese. Vintage 22+ inch Large Mouth Bass Skin Mount Taxidermy Classic Man Cave Bar Fish
Caught in the 80's from local Alabama lake. 22+ inches, was over 8lbs, mounted and hung on the wall for years. At this point I don't have a place and I hope someone else does. It has signs of moving and age, some squirrels got in a knocked it off the screw once, still a great wall piece. Seeing these go for 100+$ a must list! Vintage QUEEN TRIGGERFISH Wall MOUNT FISH Taxidermy Hand Painted COLORFUL
This vintage triggerfish belonged to my father and I am not sure its origin but it is a QUEEN TRIGGERFISH. Beautiful condition! I am also NOT an expert on taxidermy fish but I believe that this is one because it appears that the teeth are real and possibly the center fin is also real. This fish measures 17 inches long x 12 inches high. It is beautifully airbrush and brush painted. The back has a hanger attached. Fully three dimensional back and front. Early vintage Largemouth Bass fish taxidermy wood plaque head mount, fishing
Nice looking example of early taxidermy. Quality large mouth bass head and gill mount. It is old and will have some imperfections. But is overall nice and very collectible. For size reference the wood mount is 9" x 7 1/2" Please use the added pictures for the best condition and description. The last picture is of a very cool Northern Pike mount I also have listed.
