We are lucky to be in the heart of some of the best wilderness canoe routes in Ontario. Our canoe rental guests have access to three of the top wilderness canoeing rivers in Ontario, which are the Nabakwasi River Canoe Route, Circle 4 Canoe Route and the Spanish River Canoe Route.
We rent good quality and comfortable canoes, which are stable for open lake canoeing and tough for the river rapids. Canoe rentals come with paddles, life jackets, safety kits and floatation bags.
All canoe routes are maintained by the MNR (Ministry of Natural Resource). There are designated campsites along the rivers but you do not need to stay at these campsites if you do not want to. The no glass and no cans rules still apply like any provincial park. Food and drink must be stored in reusable or burnable containers. You must leave your campsite absolutely clean.
Usually, Ontario residents do not need permits to camp on crown land but because this is an area maintained by the MNR, all canoe trippers need permits, which are very inexpensive.
