4 Penn 820 electric downriggers, boating, fishing, trolling
Up for auction for the last time are these older awesome Penn electric downriggers. All 4 have 4 foot booms. Swival matic bases, custom canvas covers, fully loaded with cable ready to fish. One has some epoxie near the base where someone tried to repair a small crack. I personally do not beleive it is damaged at all. All of them work exactly like they should, just a little dusty from sitting in the barn. There are 4 wire connectors so these can be wired right in your boat. These are awesome old downriggers and will no doubt give you years of service. There is also a small section of boom that goes with them, might be a top section? I'm not sure. 2 NICE CANNON DOWNRIGGERS EASI TROLL& SPORT TROLL Its been a little while since I have sold but I have been accumulating stuff from esate sales etc. Part of what I do is gather stuff from estate sales and such and sell them on ebay for you to enjoy. There is a Cannon Easi Troll Manual downrigger and a Cannon Sport Troll Manual downrigger. They both work perfectly. After disassambling the booms for shipping I measured them and ... morethe Easi Troll measures 22" and the Sport Troll measures 16" in total length. TOP END Cannon manual downrigger, with a HIGH SPEED RETRIEVE, 1.5 spool turns per crank)this means much less work than a comparable Big Jon, Penn, or older Cannon( Uni-troll 6, Dual Crank, etc. If you run manual downriggers, these are the ones you want! Upgraded to the newest style. 2007+ spools! This is the only pair on eBay with this done! Although many think(or claim) there is no difference between Cannon Uni-Troll HP. And the newer Uni-Troll 10(made after the Johnson Outdoors buyout) THAT IS WRONG! Cannon made significant changes to the spool ... moredesign to solve a long standing problem. The Uni-Troll HP spool was a three piece unit. With a thin and brittle spool, and two"half moon" shaped filler inserts. The inserts screwed into the base spool to effectively make the spool larger and increase retrieve speed. Unfortunately this design was flawed in many ways, as the spools frequently flex and crack, and the cable gets stuck and tangled between the filler inserts. If the spool fails while a weight is in the water, you can say goodbye to it, as well as your fishing trip for the day. Often times they do not give any kind of warning signs, and the only way to tell whats going on is to un-spool the cable, remove the inserts and inspect it. One of the spools on even this well-maintained pair completely came apart, and after inspection, the other had started to separate as well.this is a very common thing. Needless to say both spools have been changed to the new style. And for a graphic explanation, please review the last photo in the listing.
