Travel Fishing Casting Spinning Rod Saltwater Plano 757 tackle box lures Okuma
This is a nice lot of fishing stuff with the highlight being the Okuma Nomad xpress casting travel rod. It is a three piece 7 foot rod that fits in a case that is 32 inches in length. The rod is like new and was not fished with. It was merely assembled and practice casted a few times. It is a medium heavy saltwater*Casting*rod(30-60 lb line) with stainless guides and fuji reel seats. Casting rod will work with any conventional/baitcasting type reels-no spinning reels. Very nice quality. These rods assemble very snugly and feel just about like a one piece. One trick is to put some wax on the ferrules for ease of installation and it also holds better. This is a graphite rod-many professionals prefer graphite for its improved sensitivity and quick action. But it will not stand up to abuse as well as a tough glass rod. Graphite is better in a ... morelot of ways, but it is not unbreakable. The rest of the lot is small freshwater stuff including a medium Shakespeare travel*Spinning* rod. A used but clean Plano 757 tackle box and small plano clear plastic storage tray, a handfull of nice minnow lures as well as various soft plastic lures and some spinners and a few fly type lures. Also, a small selection of terminal tackle accessories such as hooks, a few swivels and some split shot among other things. I tried to capture everything that was included in the pictures, so study them to get a better idea of everything included. Please note that no reels are included in this lot. You will need to get those seperately if you don't allready have them. This would be a good kit for a light travelling fisherman. Where space is at a premium for whatever reason. Another advantage would be if you want to be able to fish in a variety of situations small and large but don't really want to expend the storage space on long rods that don't seem to store well anywhere. Total value of items when new is around $260. The Okuma nomad express rod retails from $100 to $110 depending on where you find it. Thanks for looking.
