A front zip compartment, a zip compartment on each side, and an open-top mesh compartment(black) on the back. The bottom is black plastic. No tears or cracks on the bag. The bag is polyester. Vintage Barbour shoulder bag for fishing tackle, camera etc.
We are selling a Barbour shoulder bag that is 14" wide seam to seam across the front and 12" high. There are 2 front pockets with leather strap closures as well as the double leather strap closure on the front flap. The front pockets are 7" wide and 8" tall. There is an adjustable web shoulder strap and one brass ring to attach a fishing net or walking/wading staff. Inside the bag are snaps for a removable vinyl insert but the insert is missing. The strap is sewn to the bag and reinforced with a leather patch. The main flap. The small pocket flaps and the rim of the bag edges all have leather banding. This bag is in very good condition with little sign of use. This is a very well made and good sized made bag that can hold a number of fly boxes. Leaders, a spare reel and even a water bottle. I have a similar Barbour bag ... morewith a different material that I use when streamer fishing as the fly boxes tend to be larger and usually carry a bit more gear. It has a flip top to store small items. A storage drawer area top and three drawers which pull out. The pull out drawers have Bass Pro Shops on the front with dividers inside. The numbers on the bottom of the trays are SKU# 370019 and# 923808 with number reading 014099900058. I purchased this second hand to use for transporting painting supplies and then found another smaller one I liked better. Few surface scratches. It does come from a non smoking home. Great memories came back to me when I found my grandfathers old fishin' box in the rafters of his garage. My first introduction to deep sea fishing was with him. The world's most beautiful tackle box" made by Union Steel Chest Corp. Leroy, N.Y. The box is in excellent condition with light scratches. It comes with 2 original keys and the original advertising paper that had the price on it. The box is 15" wide. 8" front to back, and about 8" high not including the handle. The two tiers of compartments are aluminum. The lock on the front is brass. The keys are steel. This comes from the inside of the paper: This new UNION Tackle Box is made of 40% FIBERGLASS reinforced polyester. The color is permenantly[sic] molded in. The fibers you see throughout the material resist stress from every direction like the steel ... moremesh embedded in concrete highways. It's light. Rust and corrosion proof, almost completely indestructible. It will last you a lifetime of fishing- ANYWHERE. The same page of the card states"Fiberglass is a new but PROVEN material now used extensively where strength. Light weight, and resistance to weather are needed- steel workers' helmets, boats, fishing rods, and even auto bodies. Since it is calling this a"new" material, the advertising dates the box.
