Description
Chaudiere Lodge is located on an island in Ontario’s legendary Upper French River, and it is open from the third Saturday in May to the third Saturday in October. Just 4 1/2 hours north of Toronto, this five star resort is truly one of the closest near north experiences available to the GTA. The Upper French River and Lake Nipissing offer Chaudiere’s guests two very different experiences. The French is sheltered providing countless bays, narrows, islands and inlets perfect for canoeing, photography and fishing. Nipissing and the mouth of the French offer an extremely large body of water where the fishing is excellent. It is always possible to get out on the water from Chaudiere.
Chaudiere Lodge is a 17-acre, Five Star resort with 14 cottages spread over ½ a mile of water front. The Main Lodge houses a Dining Room, professionally-equipped commercial kitchen and lounge where guitars hang on the wall waiting to be played along with couple of telescopes ready to look into a night sky free of light pollution and full of the northern lights, if we are lucky.
At Chaudiere Lodge you can experience world-class fishing, canoeing, kayaking, photography and much more. Chaudière Lodge offers a truly high-end experience on our island resort on the legendary Upper French River, where daily access to food supplies and groceries is not readily available. For that reason our cottages are not equipped with cooking facilities and all meals are served in our waterfront dining room from our superb and varied daily menu which is second to none.
Note:
There is a minimum occupancy of 3 for a 2 bedroom cottage and 5 for a 3 bedroom cottage.
This package includes dinner on the day of arrival and breakfast on the day of departure.
