This auction is for the Cannon Downrigger mounting plate/ board pictured above with all items pictured- it is in great overall condition and will perform as intended. There may be a missing screw or wing nut in a couple places-look at pictures for every detail. Easily fixed at a home improvement store at minimal cost- a few bucks at most because they are stainless steel screws. The mount needs a cleaning-a little over spray of spray paint on the surface. And dirt in holes of the mount. A bit of elbow grease and 20 min. will square this away. It still looks good as is- there are no cracks in/on the mount- A very solid piece of fishing gear. in addition to the list of items below, there are 3 pedestal mounts on the top of the board. These mounts are a piece of aluminum 1 1/2" pipe- standard cannon mounts) the pipe portion is approx 2" ... moretall- overall the mount is approx 5" tall including it's base.the board is not included in this measurement) Downrigger Mounting System. Here is an old Cannon Hi low profile swivel base for cannon downriggers. This comes with the hi profile downrigger mount as well. This is different from the low profile swivel bases that you see by the hundreds on ebay. This one is built like a tank and is made from steel and aluminum. Cannon stopped making these many years ago because it was too expensive to make them from steel and aluminum. They started making the new low profile swivel base design which was cheaper to manufacture. List price: $135.95 Bert's Adjustable Swivel Base is made of weather resistant aluminum. Corrosion resistant stainless steel and UV stable plastics. This product is made for both fresh water and salt water. For strength they use metal plates to back the bearings. The positive gear lock system is unique in that the swivel base swings free when you pull the lever and remains free until you release it. When released, the pin locks in the center of a tapered gear tooth that is machined into the swivel base. The gear tooth form has tapered walls so that the pin locks on the sidewalls of the gear and doesn't bottom out. This means that the swivel base locks in the ... morecenter of the gear tooth without play or wobble. The 12 position adjustment feature and the easy base rotation are handy when you have multiple lines in the water or you've got a strike and need to reposition the down rigger as the fish moves.
