The original ... moredesign has been helping controlled depth fishermen catch fish since it was patented in 1977 by a couple inventors from Indiana. After many successful years of manufacturing and distributing the release. They sold the business and the product was made in China. Several years ago, that company closed their doors and the product was no longer being manufactured. I fish with braided line for Salmon in the NW. And there is no other release on the market that works as well as the Pro Release for this kind of fishing. I decided to see if I could get my hands on the molds and bring the release back to the market and manufacture it in the USA. I worked with one of the original inventors and an entrepreneur in Indiana to redesign new and improved molds for the latest injection plastics technology. I did the necessary trademark and patent work, and added a number of improvements to make it smaller fish friendly(middle spring) while still maintaining the ability to fish for big fish, with big gear, using braided line, trolling deep, and fast. The Pro Release II is fully rigged and stack-able right out of the package. It's precisely adjustable and easy to convert from port to starboard configuration. I've sold hundreds of releases in my local market this summer/fall and received very good response from fishermen who have used the design for years. 2 Used St. Croix 4006-MH-AR 8’6” Trolling Fishing Rods Outrigger Downrigger
Both are used and both are identical. Both are Medallion models. Both have roller guides and roller tip tops. Both are two-piece rods. Both have mars. Rubs and scratches on the blanks. Both rods are missing the butt caps and one has a couple of chunks missing from the cork handles. Nothing too serious) They are very usable just the way they are. The fore grips are fine. All of the cork handles and fore grips are dirty and will clean up easily with a coarse rag and warm, soapy water. That’s up to the next owner. Butt caps and new cork handles are available on eBay and through a reputable rod repair person. I recommend to the next owner to apply some kind of lubricant to the male and female ferrules before putting them together. I did apply a touch of vegetable(cooking) oil and that did help a lot. I see nothing wrong with any of the roller ... moreguides. You can mount a conventional or a HD spinning reel onto these. A label on each says that they were made, but not limited to, Salmon, Trout and Steelhead fishing. Photos should say the rest. Rods will be shipped in a very hard cardboard shipping tube of commercial strength. Shipping weight is 5 lbs. Feel free to email with any questions or need for more photos. Here is a lot of 6 offshore releases and a bell. I think these may be used for downrigging or outrigging. But I am not sure, go with what you think. They all open up when you mash on them, some have more pressure than others. The swivels at the top may need replaced. They are also small. There is also a bell that I believe clips onto a fishing pole. All of these items may have imperfections, scratches, knicks, could be dirty, etc. Use the pictures to judge condition farther.
