Big Jon Silver Capt. Pack Downrigger/ Siderigger Manual Set of 2
This is a really nice set of Big Jon downriggers. They have 3 piece sectional booms that extend to 4' and tip up for easy line set. They are spooled with 300' of stainless cable. They also have one hand operation for release and retrieval of balls. I only used these in fresh water on Lake Erie no salt. I really like these downriggers but I'm going electric. SET of (4) Four Daiwa SL 175H Reels with Shimano Triton Downrigger Rods
These are half of my downrigger rods and reels. I have not been fishing since 2007 due to health problems and other issues. These have been stored indoors. All reels are Graphite Frame Daiwa SL 175H. All are I believe loaded with 14 lb Stren. Line seems to be in good condition. Two Shimano Triton rods have large eyes. The other two have small ones. All four are 8 feet long. Two rods are Medium Action(8-17lb) and two are Heavy Action(12-25 lb) All eyes are in good shape. Rods and reels were used for stripped bass fishing in freshwater lakes in TN, probably 10 to 20 outings. Buyer to pay $24.95 shipping and handling to continental USA only. Payment by PayPal. Here is a nice vintage set of 2 lead fish shaped downrigger weights that are very large in size. One weighs just over 12 lbs and one weighs just over 13 lbs(using my postal scale) They both measure around 16" in length. Both have remnants of flourescent green paint on both sides. In addition. Per Wikipedia: A downrigger is a device used while fishing using the trolling method. Which places a lure at the desired depth. A downrigger consists of a three to six-foot horizontal pole which supports a cannonball(large weight) by a steel cable(generally stainless steel) A clip, also known as a"release" attaches a fishing line to the cannonball weight. The bait or lure is attached to the release. Please be sure to see the other sporting goods we have listed. FEATURES: This pair of downriggers was custom-made in a machine shop in Antioch. Illinois. They are very heavy-duty. The base plates and uprights are made of aluminum alloy. The base plates are 3/8" thick and the ... moreuprights are 1" thick. The 10" diameter crank pulleys are made of galvanized die-cast zinc. The pulleys are locked into place and released by a sliding 5/8" bolt. A 1/4" round 2" long stud is mounted onto the pulley providing a cranking mechanism. The 3' extension rods are made of cold-rolled steel. The smaller pulleys at the tips are made of high-density nylon. The pulley brackets swivel and are held in place with snap-ring closures. Both downriggers can be easily disassembled and any piece could be re-made at any machine shop. I am not sure what the tensile strength of the twisted stainless steel cable/wire is, but it is a substantial size. Both cables have a spring-clip for attaching the line to your weight. Up for auction is a set of two Scotty downrigger mounts. These are the tops to the Scotty 1026 swivel mount. They can be used on the 1026 swivel mount or bolted directly to your boat and your downriggers attached to them. These mounts are used and work as intended. They are not brittle or UV damaged. One mount has been drilled out to accept a Big Jon downrigger bolt pattern"see picture" It does not effect the integrity or strength of the mount. Included are two sets of four stainless mounting screws and nuts. Please feel free to ask any questions you might have. Just to clarify included are 2 Scotty 1026 swivel mount tops. Tops only. One mount has been drilled to accept Big Jon products. The underneath of this mount has been modified slightly. It should not effect strength or function of the Scotty hook up.
