Auction is for a Penn Phantom Master downrigger loaded with braid. Don't recall the pound test of the braid loaded it with braid to get rid of the hum of the wire while trolling at higher speed for tuna. Seem to recall it was 250-300# never failed with a large planner. Downrigger was used a couple of trips then by pal sold the boat. The mounting plate went with the boat. Has normal signs of use. All metal is like new, no pitting or corrosion. No fading of decals or depth gauge.

This Penn Reel looks great but does show signs of wear. There are scuffs. Scratches and nicks on this reel. I very lightly cleaned this item but there may still be some dust or dirt on it. This item has NOT BEEN TESTED and is being sold AS IS. The condition of this item can be best described by the pictures. PENN FATHOM MASTER 600 MANUAL DOWNRIGGER WITH BASE, ROD HOLDER
Penn Fathom Master 600 manual downrigger with base. Rod holder, line counter. The downrigger is in very good used condition. There is a bit of salt water corrosion, mostly on the line guide at the end of the boom. The exposed part of the boom measures 20" There is some steel cable on the spool though I don't know how many yards. Everything works properly. Any questions just let me know.

Here for auction is a very nice Penn Reels. Fathom Master 600 downrigger I believe them to be called. This has been used but appears to be quite clean as is shown in the numerous images. Has line on it at this time and also appears to be working just fine. Has the clamping screw but does not have the part that attaches to the boat itself. This is a great quality rig but that being said, I am not able to guarantee that it will actually catch any big game fish. Penn Fathom Master 600 Downrigger with base and weight
Penn Fathom-Master 6000 Removed from a 1981 center console boat that I am restoring. Seems to be complete and in great shape. I can't figure out how to lock the base but that may be because I've never had a Penn and don't know how to work it. Or if there is a part missing. Everything is included as it came off the boat. The downrigger mounts easily to the base and the cable is in good condition. Turns freely. I've included new stainless steel 1/4" bolts, nits, and washers to mount it to you boat.
