Pair of Scotty Saltaire Downriggers w Counter Very Nice Fishing Metal Line Boat
Here for auction is a pair of downriggers. They are marked: Scotty Saltaire and made in Canada. They have metal type line on them. They both have counter’s on them. Swivel handles. They appear to have been used and I have no idea as to when they were made. They also appear to be in good shape and clean. I have no idea as to how they fasten to a boat or if there is an attachment that is needed to fasten them. What is shown in the images is what I have. They look identical to me and I offer them as a pair. The stainless rod is clean with no corrosion. They do not appear to have been used in an ocean setting as they look clean from any salt water. There are no cracks in any of the plastic parts. They measure approx. 26” from the end of the handle to the end of the pully. The wheel is approx. 9.5” across and 1.5” wide. The stainless pole is curved ... moreand is 14” long. The small end pully is 3” across. I really have no idea as to how they work but both of the wheels turn freely. Each one weighs approx. 4.5 lbs.
