American Plan ACCOMMMODATION Our clean comfortable cabins are equipped with private 3 pc bath, electric heat, refrigerators, ranges, coffee maker and microwave. There are 16 cabins to choose from, ranging from 1 to 4 bedrooms.Charcoal barbecue, a picnic table and free firewood for use in the fire pits.
MEALS
American Plan package - dinner on arrival day, breakfast on departure day. Non alchololic drinks provided with dining room meals only (by law we can not include Liquor). A prepared shore lunch or boxed sandwich are also available. Ice for cooling drinks.
FISHING BOAT
A 16' Legend boat (new in 2004), equipped with 25 hp e-start Mercury Motor and live well (all gas and oil included) plus life jackets. Bring your fishing tackle, pick you your live bait and your all set for a day out on the French River.
Live bait, worms or minnows (no minnows during the hot summer weeks) for the great fishing at the French River.
Use of the fish cleaning hut and fish freezing facilities at Wolseley Lodge also included.
Our Rates are based on a minimum of 2 guest per booking with a minimum stay of 2 nights, or 3 nights on long weekends. In July and August we rent on a weekly basis from Saturday to Saturday only.

Wild Goose Lake is approximately 14 miles long with clear, clean waters which give up many good walleye, northern pike, perch, and whitefish each year. You’ll enjoy the quiet, peaceful ... morefishing with little competition for the better fishing spots. There are numerous other remote lakes I the area for additional fishing adventures. Many of these lakes are only a short distance away and easy to get to.
Here at Wild Goose Lake Resort we have many hidden treasures. Like a 7 year old boy catching a 22” northern pike off our dock the first day he is here on his second cast, yelling, “Dad, Dad what do I do with it now?” Or finding a deep hot spot on the lake with a fish finder which turns black with so many fish on the screen.
Did we mention our boats on the outlakes? Have you ever fished for splake, blue walleye, brook trout or bass? We have them all within an hour drive of our home base.

We have 650 square km. of prime black bear area that is assigned to us exclusively. You can hunt over one of our active baits, some of which have been baited for many years, or you ... morecan choose some of the newer baits that have not been hunted before. Some baits you can drive fairly close to and others you will need an ATV to get to. Our black bear hunt is available for bow or rifle hunts.
Upon arrival for your hunt we will show you the baits, help set up your tree stand and get you acquainted with the area. Once you are set up and ready to hunt, we are here for you if you need any assistance but will continue with our daily bear baiting schedule and work around the resort. We will help track or load your bear. Available at the resort are hanging poles, a walk-in cooler & freezer space.
Included in your package is a housekeeping cottage, 2 active pre-baited sites, black bear licence & tag, export permit and all bait. Please remember to bring your own safety equipment.

Moose hunting in the fall can be a very exciting time. We are on the boundary of two wildlife management units, 19 and 21A, so we can offer you some fantastic choices of areas to hunt ... morevery close to the resort. If you Moose Huntingwant to match wits with the Giants of the North with only your bow and calling device, you are in for some exciting times that you will never forget.
If you are a more traditional hunter, with rifle, then you too can have some great times. The archery season is open first, around the 20th of September. The rifle season opens the Saturday closest to the 8th of October. We have archery tags issued to us, some in WMU 19 and some in WMU 21A. We have no gun tags available at this time.
Hunters living outside of Ontario have to get a tag from us. Residents of Ontario can go into a lottery system to try and get their own tag. Whatever you decide, we have the moose and some prime areas to hunt them in. If you are new to this area, we can steer you to some productive areas.

Boat packages include up to 6 gallons of gas per day, landing net, paddles, minnow bucket and prices are based on at least two adults per boat.

As well known as the lake is for fishing, the area around the lake is just as well known for hunting.
Whitefish Bay Camp offers rifle, archery and muzzleloader hunts in two different Wildlife Management Zones: 7-A (muzzle loader or archery only) and 7-B (allows rife hunting as well as muzzleloader and archery hunting).
Whitefish Bay Camp has excellent duck, grouse, whitetail deer and black bear hunting. If you prefer to have a guided hunt we can arrange that for you.
Moose hunting is available when the population warrants it. The Ministry of Natural Resources makes this determination.
