Besides indicating depth. The unit also shows changes in bottom content and conditions. It can also discriminate between large underwater targets, such as fish, and smaller targets such as bait fish and plankton. The unit transmits bursts of high frequency pulses, which are converted from electrical to mechanical energy by the transducer. Up for auction is a Vexilar FL-18 Flasher with a combo 19 and 9 degree dual transducer. Comes with a soft pack for the ultra pack case, flasher cap and charger. It's in excellent condition, was only used a few seasons. The battery works, but should be replaced. Easy to do and not much money. A great flasher that will make a huge difference in your catch.
