Vintage fishing reel Ambassadeur 5600C Abu Garcia (Sweden) NO RESERVE
This is what I believe to be a 1976 model reel assuming the manufacturer# on the bottom(pictured) with the first two digits 76 represents year of mfg. It was a gift to me new and I was young when receiving it and that seems about right for the year(late 70s IIRC) I only used it a few times as I became more of a panfish and catfish type fisherman than a bass angler. It has never had a screw turned on it and reels very smoothly like new.everything works like it should. Still even has the pictured decal stating"high speed" on the right side of the reel. It stayed in my garage basically until 1989 when I I took it off the rod and put it in a box and that is where it has spent the last 14 years. Probably only fished with 4-5 times in the early 80s/late 70s.

Up for auction is this very nice ABU Garcia Ambassadeur 6000C. The Original" baitcasting reel. It's in a glossy black finish and looks like it has never been used. I have listed it as used, because it was found at a local auction and I know nothing of its history. I'm unsure of the serial number coding system, but I think it may have been made in 2001, based on the number 010710/6 found on the bottom of the foot. It is marked saying it has a stainless steel bearing drive, a 5.3:1 gear ratio and a line capacity of 245 yards of 14 lb. mono. It is in super clean condition with hardly a mark on it. Mechanically, it appears to work smoothly and work as designed. In my opinion, it's like it just came out of the box. No box included, however. Cosmetically, this reel is striking. It has nice black color to the side plates with nice plating and vivid graphics. There are some minor wear marks on the edges of the side covers and some very minor surface abrasions. Also, the crank handle of this reel has been replaced with the proper handle so there is a litle difference in wear on the handle vs. the drag star. Despite this, this truely is an awesome reel that will make a great addition to a vintage tackle collection or it is very suitable for fishing. Rare leather case has some separation of the leather at the front corners(see photo) but is otherwise also in very good condition. Accessories include oil dropper. Screwdriver/wrench combo tool and spare parts tube with assorted replacement screws, e-clips, handle nut, etc. Double-sided gold foil tag is missing original string which was ripped off. From the research I've done it's attributes date it to 1959/1959. I've had the reel in my collection for 25 years and I believe it to be all original and never used. Ultra-light Ice Fishing Reels Abu Garcia/St. Croix
So the auction is for three(3) ultra-light spinning reels that I used ice fishing. And for bluegill/crappie in spring. The reels were used for walleye/pike through the ice and have power-pro on two of them still. The first being a an Abu Garcia Ascent(asulf) 4 bearing spinning reel. This is a great reel and it's still in great condition. I've got an extra spool for it but no box. capacity: 110yd of 4lb. or 80yd of 6lb. The second reel is an Abu Garcia Agenda(agulf) 3 bearing spinning reel. Basically the same reel as the asulf. no box or extra spool though. capacity: 80yd of 4lb. or 55yd. of 6lb.
