The 175 offers accuracy improvement and back lighting over the 79 series and is the same meter as the 179 except for the temperature(thermocouple) capacity and back lighting. Kodak Illuminator Model 1A 10"x10" Blue Glass for accurate color
Not sure about this but think it was to sit in a table. The 10x10 size to accommodate 8x10. The blue glass was to correct the tungsten light bulb to 3200 K day light for accurate viewing of the color of the transparency. It was one of the first attempts to standardize viewing color. It consists of a plastic housing. A 60 watt light bulb and a front frame holding a sheet of heavy blue glass over a sheet of white diffuser glass. The clips holding the glass are not spring mounted.

Vintage Brown & Sharpe, No.47, 1"-2", 0.001" Outside Micrometer Smooth Accurate
Brown& Sharpe is a division of Hexagon Metrology. Inc. a multinational corporation focused mainly on metrological tools and technology. During the 19th and 20th centuries, Brown& Sharpe was one of the best-known and most influential firms in the machine tool industry. It produced high quality instruments that are still in demand today. I am guessing that this micrometer is from the early 1930's. It weighs 6 oz. and everything- thimble, lock, and ratchet- all works well. Since this is a vintage model, it does have some pitting and discoloration, but not on the spindle, just on the thimble and body. Somewhere in its history, an owner stamped in a small discrete name or logo on the front. Carefully look at the photos to be sure that you will be satisfied with this unit.

Rare Modified 7/10th Inch Micrometer, Extremely Accurate
This tool was used when I bought it sometime in the'70s. Someone has attached a stainless steel ball bearing to one end. It is exactly 3/10 of an inch. Making this a 7/10-inch micrometer. It is possible to get more accurate readings of some things with this. Or at least to get accurate readings more quickly than with. A regular micrometer. Because the thing you are measuring only touches the ball at one point. You do have to remember to. Subtract 0.3 from the reading you get. To be honest I bought it as a conversation piece. but it did come in handy a few times. The item is used and shows signs of wear. There are a few minor very small rust spots. Please judge by the pictures. I've always taken care of it. The action is smooth and precise.

Up for sale is an antique heavy industrial scale weighing up to 250 pounds. It was patented by R. H. Macy July 10. 1917 and sold by Macy's in New York City(see photo#7) This scale weighs 18 pounds and is accurate(at least to my weight) It measures 10" x 11" x 8" high; the dial is 7" diameter. Photo#9 shows the dial used to adjust the scale dial. The hand on the dial is red. The paint is white and chippy and there is some surface rust on bottom. In photo#10 you can see there is some dirt under the glass on one side.I didn't try to take it apart to clean it but I believe that it would be possible. This was in my Father's collection of many. Greetings! Up for bid is a digital scale. Made by ACCULAB. It is model number V-2400, and is exact in measuring. as you can see in pictures, we put a nickle on top, which weighs 5 grams, and was measured perfectly by this scale. I am not familiar with all the functions it is capable of, and it has been used very little. It has some discoloration from its age, and a scuff mark or two, but is overall in great shape, and works extremely well. It also chimes at the half hour and counts out the number of hours at the top of the hour. Look at the pictures and you will see a very clean unmarked case and a very clear and unscratched glass face. It does have the Eagle finial. This clock did have the electrical cord replaced at sometime in its life as you can see in the pictures. The overall dimensions of the clock are 29 tall, 9 3/4 wide and 3 1/2 deep. It'll test those older 4-pin, 5-pin, 6-pin, and even 7-pin tubes, as well as the later 8-pin Octal, 8-pin Loctal and the 7-pin and 9-pin miniatures. It also has sockets for both 5-pin and 7-pin Nuvistors, 9-pin Novar tubes and 12-pin Compactrons. The 9-pin miniature socket has an additional center pin to also accept 10-pin miniature tubes. The test circuit of the IT-21 is identical to Heath's later models IT-17 and IT-3117, and the earlier"TC" models, and the test data for these testers is also usable with the IT-21. To ensure accuracy of a newly built kit. Heath didn't provide any calibration adjustments for this model ... moretester, relying instead on the inherent accuracy provided by using close tolerance components in the measuring circuits.
