Filled with details of forts, towns, watershed, lakes and rivers. The map appears to be identical to Colton's separately issued pocket map of the same title, except for the note that Parker has furnished corrections. Vintage - TRANSISTOR RADIO TESTER - Model 158 - ACCURATE INSTRUMENT Co.
This is a 1960's Accurate Instrument Company. Inc. Transistor Radio Tester, Model 158 with 5 test leads, in reasonably good cosmetic condition. As there is no power cord. I took the front panel off to see how it was powered and found there were three 1.5 volt AA battery holders on one of the boards and the middle one appears to have suffered from a battery going bad and is rusted. I placed three new batteries in the unit and nothing. So then I attached an external battery pack directly to the red& black terminals via alligator clips and the unit crackled to life and the meter went full scale when I touched the red& black test leads together. Please refer to the photo's showing the battery pack attachment and the twin photo showing the meter before and after connecting the wires together. As the photo's show. There are ... more5 different leads that come with this unit and are stored in the compartment at the left side of the case. The case latches correctly and the handle is intact. Conar 224 Tube Tester- Nice! Accurate! HAM Here's a very nice Conar model 224 tube tester from the back of my"closet. Conar test equipment was provided as kits for the NRI(National Radio Institute) electronics courses- a very popular and highly regarded correspondence school that operated from 1914 to 2002. The Conar 224 tube tester. Except for the added sockets, is essentially the same as the previous models 221 and 223. However, the 224 does not have a built-in roll chart, but uses a separate data manual, as by the time the 224 was produced there were simply too many new tubes to be contained on a roll chart. The Conar 224 uses the same measuring circuit as the Eico. Heath, and Knight tube testers and is based on the original Triplett model 3413 design. With care, and a bit of translation, much of the data for these other testers ... morecan also be used with Conar testers. As many kit builders had little test equipment. Conar provided no calibration controls for their tube testers, relying instead on the inherent accuracy provided by close tolerance parts in the measuring circuits. Calibration consists of checking all of these components, including the meter, and ensuring they are all within their original tolerances. This has been done. Out of tolerance components have been replaced with modern, more stable ones, and this tester is working as it should on all ranges. With care, it should be good for many more years of use. It is shown in the second photo testing a new 6L6GC tube. The tube, of course, is not included in the auction. This tester is in overall very good condition- the panel looks almost new. The case is very sturdy with the some wear to the covering. The thin plating on the hardware. However, is long gone. The tester ships with a clean reprint of the operating manual with maintenance instructions and the schematic diagram. Detailed construction steps are omitted. Also included is the 1/1/78 data book. The 1912A covers the frequency range from 5 Hz to 125 MHz at its high impedance input, and from 50 MHz to 520 MHz at its 50 ohm terminated input. Its Period and Period Average functions enable you to accurately measure very low frequencies(the reciprocal of the period) You can also use it to count events up to 9999999 using its Totalize mode. This unit is also equipped with Option 01, battery operation, for use away from a fixed power source. The battery pack consists of four 1.2 V rechargeable Ni-Cad batteries that are easily replaced. They are kept charged automatically whenever the unit is plugged in. Input B operation is demonstrated in the first photo measuring the 500 MHz output of my HP 8656B ... moresignal generator. In the second photo. Input A is measuring the 10 MHz output of my GPS disciplined rubidium frequency standard. The connecting cable is not included in the auction. This is a nice vintage 8 Days Octava Watch Company Accurate Time Keeper Model with' Extra Quality' written on its unblemished porcelain dial. This seems like a nice desk or travel clock or may be car clock. And inside movement reads OCTAVA WATCH COMPANY SWITZERLAND 15 FIFTEEN JEWELS 2 TWO ADJUSTMENTS USA R 816321 Lower inside of the back just reads'A' Has thick beveled front glass and seems like nickel/chromium body. As per Mikrolisk. Company was started by A. Schildt who liked writing his initials'A' and that might explain the cryptic'A' on the back inside plate. This seems like a desk clock or a travel clock or car clock to be kept in inverted position. The USA patent refers to miniaturisation of movements so as to be able to fit things in smaller space for an 8 day working. It is a large size clock with ... moreroughly 63 mm as its dia and 16 mm as the thickness from top of glass to the bottom. This clock is in great condition. Old photos showing the wretched condition of the ratchet wheel(pun intended! has also been given along wth the new photos.
