It was used very briefly in casting competitions and has been in storage for the last 10 years or so. The bearings have been spun. So this reel can cast very far. Up for auction is my lightly used Ambassadeur 6500C3. The Original" I bought it new and have used it maybe 5 times. In excellent condition and works perfectly. Check out the pictures. It is a great reel.I am just switching to the same reel but left hand retrieve. Only fished freshwater with it. Stored inside and covered when not in use. Well maintained and not abused. It looks like it has been more of a tackle box queen and hasn’t been fished much. A couple of the stickers show some wear and there are a few light marks in the finish. But the chrome is nice and bright, the endplates are in good shape, and the all-important Abu shield is present and accounted for! Mechanically it feels good and solid. The gears mesh as you’d expect from an Abu Garcia reel. The clutch is nice. Engages smoothly and with authority, and the drag system is working fine. It might like a quick wipe with a soft cloth, but that’s about it. Please take a look at the pictures for condition and in case I missed or forgot to mention something. Made in Sweden. Almost like new 6501cl3. Notice in the picture. Tiny scuffs on the right sideplate. I've had this reel since it was new.and besides practice casting it a few times in my pond, I don't think I've ever fished it. It's been stored with the drag loosened. The drag is smooth and the reel is almost in perfect shape. I think the CL3 means it was a Rocket version. But I'm not sure. 5:3:1 Gear ratio.

Vintage Abu Ambassadeur UC 6500 C3 Pair of silver Sideplates
Hello and welcome to my auctions. I have here today a pair of side plates for the abu ambassadeur UC 6500 C. They have been used but are in GOOD condition.
