This model ABU Garcia 5000c black color baitcasting reel was made in Sweden and is in remarkable condition. I doubt that it was used more than a couple of times. The serial number is a very low number and it reads 037200 which is a very low by today's standards. There are no condition issues and the reel does work well. The original partial box must have been stored in the garage along with the leather bag. The tool kit, and oil bottle because all of the stitching is bad on the leather case and the box shows slight signs of being in a damp environment. The original Owners Manual is in great condition! The reel must have been kept inside the home, and is estate fresh from here in NW Ohio. One of the nicest 5000c reels I have ever owned. I currently have listed a set of Ambassadeur Record RCN reels. The 40, 50 and 60. Two are new in the box and the third is excellent in the box. All have a complete set of paperwork, oil tube and wrench. All pictures were taken outdoors, so dust particles are likely to show in the close-ups. This auction is for the Record RCN 50. I have listed this reel as used. But I'm confident it's never been fishing. There is one small area of bruises on the top of the right rim. See pictures 1 and 5) The reel operates as new. The specifications for the reel are shown in the last two pictures. I will combine items for shipping in auctions ending in a 48 hour timeframe. Two fine Swedish made Abu free spool bait casting reels. One is a model 5600AB and one is a larger 6600AB. Both have features that include metal construction. Star drag, easy thumb screw take apart, thumb brake, and an anti-backlash system. The 5600 is excellent overall. The 6600 has a tiny tab broken off the thumb brake and it won't stay in place. Otherwise, it also is excellent. Two fine reels for one bid. Replace the thumb brake on the larger one, and both will be ready to fish. I'll include an incorrect Ambassadeur model 5600C box, instructions, and a few accessories. E-mail me with any questions. No reserve. Satisfaction, with my description, guaranteed. Up for your consideration is an Ambassadeur 5000 3 screw in excellent condition. The reel has some small pin prick rash marks on top of the rims and a blemish on the non-handle side by the"A" in Ambassadeur. The chrome is bright and shiny. No pitting/rust. I took some closeup shots so please look carefully and judge for yourself it's condition. It also comes with the box which is in good condition. It has a tear mark on one side which seems to be intact. There is NO matching sticker on the bottom of the box. All the extras are in excellent shape, leather case, oil bottle, wrench, parts tube(not sure all parts are there) and manual(a little bent from being stuck in the top of the stryrofoam box) Mechanically the reel works great. ABU Ambassadeur 6000C Vintage Reel - Quality Swedish made genuine ABU
This is an Ambassadeur(ABU) Swedish made original quality reel. It is pre ABU Garcia and I believe made between 1973 and 1977 in Sweden. I have owned this for a long time and not used it also for a long time. It is a perfect match for a smaller flexible rod up to 3 metres or so. It has always been serviced and I have always been amazed at the internals and the quality of the brass and stainless components. It has a very effective drag and the spool is easily tensioned down so that overrun is minimal(i f at all) A great reel as one of three original ABU's I have. I don't have a use for it and needs to be used. It comes with leather case. Spanner and spares tube- and the ORIGINAL MANUAL. There are some paint chips from usage on the black side covers- see pics.
