But if I'm reading the serial# right it looks like the year of 1960 in the month of April. But you old timer Abu collectors be sure to keep me informed. I would really like to know? AMBASSADEUR XLT 1 SYNCRO BAITCASTING REEL This auction is for the pictured Ambassadeur xl syncro bait casting fishing reel. This reel is an early version of a low profile type bait casting reel. It has the following features: syncro drag system. a rear thumb bar release· a flipping selector switch on the top right sideplate rim. It has a double paddle handle· a magnetic spool adjustment on the left side plate· quick opening side plate to remove the spool· Graphite body· Ball bearing construction· Gear ratio of about 5:1 which was considered high speed then. But is a great reel speed for deep running crankbaits today. Cosmetically this reel has seen use and has boat rash on the rims and some scratches to the side plates. The decals along the side plates are faded with age and sun exposure. I’m not quite sure how ... morethe syncro drag works. I was recently told that if you back the handle up some it lessens the drag while under fighting pressure and that it goes back to the preset amount when you turn the handle forward a few times while under fighting pressure. I’m not sure this one works properly since I don’t have it tied to a fish to test that portion of the drag. But the drag otherwise seems to work. I can’t get it to tighten down to a dead stop but I’m not sure it is supposed to. The gears feel good and the level wind travels across the worm properly too. The spool disengagement button is a thumbar on the rear of the reel and is fully functional. The flipping option also works on this reel. The level wind travels across the worm well too. If you are into the older style reels like this Abu Garcia Ambassadeur this is a great opportunity to pick one up. This model ABU Garcia 5000c black color baitcasting reel was made in Sweden and is in remarkable condition. I doubt that it was used more than a couple of times. The serial number is a very low number and it reads 037200 which is a very low by today's standards. There are no condition issues and the reel does work well. The original partial box must have been stored in the garage along with the leather bag. The tool kit, and oil bottle because all of the stitching is bad on the leather case and the box shows slight signs of being in a damp environment. The original Owners Manual is in great condition! The reel must have been kept inside the home, and is estate fresh from here in NW Ohio. One of the nicest 5000c reels I have ever owned. This is a used Pflueger Supreme. Right handed, high speed baitcast reel; Model SUPREME ELP. Mechanically its in perfect condition; it has very slight boat rash as can be seen in one of the photos. As you know, the Supreme Model is the top of the line reel that Pflueger sells. This is a precision reel that featured 11 stainless steel shielded bearings, gear ratio of 6.3:1, Titanian line guide, dual braking system(mechanical and centrifigal) multi-disk drag system with audible star nut adjustment and a forged aluminum handle, with soft touch bearing knobs. This is a really nice reel that still has a lot of years of serious fishing left in it, as mecahnically, it is perfect. I have not had one problem with the reel since I bought it! Posted with

This is a used Team Daiwa TD-X Air Metal 103H. This reel is in really good condition for its age. Reel comes with box. Papers and oil. This reel has the wiffle spool with magforce V. I welcome questions. Thanks! Daiwa TD-X Air Metal 1998-2005 TD-X Air Metal reels are almost identical to its brother TD-Z. Equipped with 6/1 BB/Roller bearings. TD-X series perform quite excellent. Its body frame are made of the same material, Air Metal, as TD-Z, and right-handed reel weighs at 6.7oz, left-handed weighs at 7.6oz. The weight difference to US version TD-X103HSDF is more than 2 oz. Also differences can be seen at, drilled spool, forged handle, forged drag knob, gold plated casting control cap, frame, and etc. Greatest investment for the money.
