The right side has the faint hook swing in-between the side hooks and a couple of faint impressions. Small nick up near the prop on the right side. No other nicking on the right side. The green back is in fine condition with no more than general handling marks and light hairline scratching. NO nicking on left side. There are crazing lines and light soiling scattered throughout. The belly is also in fine condition as no serious nicks are seen. They don't get much better out of box. The hooks and hardware are slightly aged and tarnished. For auction is a Creek Chub#6000 Midget or Baby Beetle in the#52(for this lure) red and white color pattern. In beautiful condition. This lure was first produced in 1939, and last advertised in catalogs in 1954. This lure was a smaller option to the regular sized Beetle. It has about a 2& 1/8” body weighing ½ oz. It has a single beautiful pearl spinner blade on the rear shaft. Which was standard on the midget, verses the two spinners on the#3800. This would make a great addition to your collection. This is part of the gordon dills collection that i bought years ago when gordon was alive. I took him fishing and was able to aquire a huge opossom belly umco box from him and this is part of that collection.Gordon was Henry dills grandson. He used to help run the creek chub plant in the 40's and 50's. I have been asked to break this up but i think it shoud stay together because there were only three of these boxes and all different and the others i will offer later. Up for sale is my personal collection of CREEK CHUB DINGBATS. Ive had these for a number of years and its time to let them go. These lures are highly desirable especially the ones with the original boxes. A total of seven Dingbat lures is in this sale. Six of the seven are the 5100 series. One is a 5200 series. Four of the 5100 series has the original correct marked boxes. I have five clearly marked boxes in this sale. Four have the lures to go with them they are all the 5100 series. The other box is a 5202 box which is clearly legible for the smaller white with red head Dingbat(again box only no lure) I have an original order form that i found in one of the boxes. I'm offering these at a heck of a price. I see these selling single with box for over a hundred dollars. Now is your chance to get almost an entire complete collection. With a wooden body portion that measures about 1 3/4" and with the tail it is 3" long. It is in Pikie Scale paint pattern with gold& black painted eyes.
