The cosmetics aren't the best, although most of the scrapes are in the gold trim ring which is very normal for these reels. I could not find and makers name on this reel. HELP_HELP if you may know the reel. It does have JAPAN on the reel seat. And HIGH QUALITY is also printed on the right side of reel. It is right or left hand retrieve, extra strong bail spring, solid anti-reverse, and I don't believe the reel was ever used. I could sure use a makers name? Daiwa GS1 GS 1 rare vintage reel Saltwater Freshwater Gold Seiko Japan 1 DAY AUC
I am selling this pretty cool Daiwa gs-1 fishing reel. It is gold in color and I believe it is the first of the Daiwa GS series considering it is"GS-1" model. It appears to be used because of the normal wear such as paint wear/chipping. It is stamped Japan on the foot. Mark of Precision Daiwa GS-1 2 BALL BEARINGS. It spins with ease. There is some blue fishing line on the spool and I will leave it in case the buyer wants to use it or keep it. I do not know much about it but I know it has some value. I actually found an ebay auction from last year of the same model used reel that went for almost $200. I will post a picture for proof of that auction. The only thing that appears missing is the emblem cap on the top of the black spool screw. This is a nice little reel to use or add to your collection. Up for bidding is a Daiwa Sol left-handed baitcasting reel with all original paperwork and packaging. The reel is in near mint condition. And has very minuscule markings. Cosmetically the reel is 9.5/10, and mechanically is 10/10. I originally purchased this reel brand new, and it came upgraded with ABEC-5 bearings. The box is in immaculate condition. OCEAN CITY DOWNRIGGER ROD, DAIWA 1300 SERIES, PENN 210 REEL, 2 PENN TYPE REELS
Nice pair rods with a good Penn level wind reel& 2 Penn Type level wind reels. Rod#1 is an Ocean City 8' 6" Med. Light action Downrigger Rod. Rod is above average condition with some sign of corrosion on guides but all look in good shape. Rod#2 ia a Diawa 1300 Series rod, again some corrosion on guides but all look in good shape, front part of cork handle could use a little repair. First reel is a Penn 210 level wind with rod clamp, could use a good cleaning up but all works as it is supposed to. Second and third reels are Penn look alike level winds, no makers marks on them, again both could use good cleaning but all works as it should.
