The guides and the ferrules are all in excellent condition. The cloth rod bag and aluminum tube are in very good condition. The tube has done its job of protecting the rod well. This rod is designed for noodle fishing for steelhead. I got this at an estate sale and the woman running the sale said that it was her late husbands favorite rod. The rod itself. Over the years, has lost the inscription as to the model number[ just a tiny spec of white writing is seen in picture 9] but is in real good condition. Solid wraps, nice ceramic guides, good cork handle, 2 piece construction, and is 89" in total length. Maybe someone out there in Ebay land knows and can share info so I can pass it along. The Fenwick rod case is the real issue in this offering. First of all the top cap has separated from the top, there is the previous owners name that is seen lightly in ink, the bottom cap has a small break missing, some tape residue still attached but overall no cracks to the tube. Here we have a pair of antique sterling silver with gold plating cufflinks signed F& S for FENWICK& SAILORS. Renown silversmiths. STER.PAT.2472958. These were part of my family estate and date to the early 1900s I believe. I did not clean them up. They gold over the sterling is worn and gives it a distinctive look. VINTAGE FENWICK FS60 6 FT LIGHT SPINNING ROD 2 1/4 OZ 1/16-1/4 OZ
Fenwick Feralite rods are fiberglass rods that were produced in two separate generations: 1963-1971. 1972-1988. This one has the characteristics of the first generation but a label with a guy's name and a 1980 date is on it. These rods were the innovation of their day and are a true piece of rod design history. The Feralite patent(which was only pending when this rod was built further suggesting that it was from the first generation of rods) is for the point at which the two sections of the rod connect. The tip over butt ferrule design is now copied by virtually every two piece rod. The Rod tip guide and the eyes are all original. Fenwick Feralite rods owners are true believers in their equipment many still fishing these rods today. This individual rod is one of the very nicest vintage rods I have seen. Fenwick Elite Tech Smallmouth Spinning Rod ESMS69M-XF 6'9"
This rod has been used only a few times and it has performed great each time. It is SUPER LIGHT and weighs in at only 3.8oz! I had it paired with a light Shimano Stradic Ci4 and in my opinion this is a DREAM SETUP for both smallmouth and largemouth light-line finesse fishing. It was my go-to rod for shakey-head and light crankbaits especially. The handle design is one of the most comfortable handles I've ever fished with. The rod is EXTRA FAST so it has nice stiffness for solid hook sets. The cork has just been cleaned to like-new condition. This rod has many more years of great fishing ahead. Fast shipping with only one-day handling time! It will be carefully packed in plastic with lots of padding. And will be secured in a heavy-duty cardboard tube. 3 Fenwick Eagle GLC Spinning and Casting Fishing Rods
3 Fenwick Eagle GLC rods. Two of the rods are spinning rods. And one is a casting rod. The shorter of the rods is a two piece rod. The other two are one piece. The two one piece rods are models ES 66 MH and EC 60 M. I do not know the model of the other rod, because the lettering wore off. The tip on the EC 60 M broke, and needs to be repaired. It still measures around 71 inches, and should work good when repaired. The ES 66 MH measures around 72 inches, so it must have been repaired.
