This rod has the absolute most amazing wood reel insert I have ever seen on a rod. Just look at that seat. Amazing! I have fished this rod twice. And it is a very smooth, moderate flexing rod. Flexes into the butt section, but recovers surprisingly quick. Casts up to seventy feet felt like they were effortless. Beautiful wraps compliment the seat perfectly, as does the agate stripping guide. If you are familiar with Graywolf rods, you know that this is a work of art. Spigot ferrules make this feel like a one piece rod. Comes with original sock and aluminum tube. To purchase this rod from Graywolf will cost you $585 plus shipping, and is worth every penny. Vintage 1950's-60's Nyglax Fiberglass fly rod conversion from a dual spin/fly rod. The rod is 7 feet long. 2 sections and smoothly casts a 5 or 6 weight line. I have fished this rod on the Beaverkill and West Branch of the Delaware and it performs beautifully and has backbone to deliver a long, accurate cast. I am a bamboo rod maker and rod restorer for over 30 years. I found this rod in its original configuration as a spin/fly rod. The model is"Nyglax Spinon" After carefully measuring the taper with my micrometer. I converted the rod to solely a fly rod. Simply couldn't be nicer. I replaced the spin/fly reel seat with a cherry spacer and A5 metal reel hardware. The rod has been completely re-wrapped in its original color wraps with brand new guides, and an agate stripper. The ferrule is original. The fiberglass is sweet ... moreand in great condition. The rod comes in its original bag(worn at one end) and a non-original tube. The rod will be shipped in its bag& tube. Cabela's CGR Fiberglass 7/8 Weight Fly Rod
This is a Cabela's 50th Anniversary CGR Fiberglass Fly Rod. It is a 7'6" 7/8 weight with a medium slow action. The rod is a 3-piece. Travel configuration. It has only been fished three times so there is very little wear on the cork. The rod itself is in very good condition. The ferrules are made to not close all the way but to wear in over time(don't be alarmed if they don't quite seem to"fit" A cordura rod case with three compartments for each section is included. This is a good rod for bass buggin' Fishing from a kayak or for light saltwater. Please feel free to ask any questions that you may have.

This auction is for a very interesting vintage. Solid glass, square Pan Fish Fly Rod. It is 7 feet long, two-piece, and rated PF 7 for HDH or D line. I can find no manufacture’s name on the rod. Like all older glass rods, the action is quite soft- I’d probably use it to lob minnows to crappie- and is ready to fish, although one of the guides should be rewrapped. The cork handle is fine but the back part of the reel seat is bent a bit. If you like to fish vintage tackle or just like weird stuff, this is a rod for you to consider. Fenwick fiberglass fly rod ff 108-3 Signed Excellent Condition 9'
I bought this rod. And several others, from a California Estate sale. The rod is in excellent condition, possibly never used. The folks who are collectors. That love the feel of a great fiberglass rod, know much more than I do about this rod, so I will not attempt to classify its best application. This is a Fenwick Feralite. 9' three section, ff 108-3 43/4 oz, by F. M. Claudio. It also has A 3210 on the shaft. All of the eyes are in great shape, no loose strings, or any defects. I photographed this with my IPad. So sorry for picture quality. I will ship it in a aluminum rod tube. The aluminum tubes I have are not originals. But sturdy. This rod was in this tube when I bought it, but it may have been happenstance. I had sold this a few weeks ago. And the buyer was not pleased with the rod, he thought the signature was not original. He ... moremay be correct, I do not know. When I listed this, I had no ideal who Claudio was. The buyer wanted the rod as a collectable, display rod. I refunded his payment, and now have the rod. I will ship it in a aluminum tube, with the rod bag in the photo, it was in it when I bought it. I added some photo's. Trying to show the reflection of the clear label over the handwriting. I took the rod to a local fly fishing shop. And asked their opinion. They said it looks like who ever hand wrote ff103-3 9' And 43/ 4oz, also signed F. M. Claudio. It is on the rod. With a clear label that has the Fenwick logo on it, over the writing. He said that made sense to him, it protected the writing. The first buyer also said the rod had scratches on the butt. And a possible hook mark in the cork. This is true. I do not think anyone was trying to deceive when I bought this rod. And I promise I am being as forth coming as possible. Custom Graywolf Signature S Glass Fly Rod Fiberglass 8 ft 2 wt 3 pc
This is a beautiful fiberglass fly rod custom built by Shane Gray of Graywolf Fly Rods. This two weight is so very capable of extreme close up work. And also has a surprising amount of reserve power for longer casts, up to fifty feet. Lays down a dry fly with a whisper. If you are familiar with the Signature S Glass series, you will know that these are a moderate/fast(For Glass) with a very quick recovery. Tip bounce is nil, and the weight of this rod is very similar to a graphite rod in the same dimensions. Beautiful lemke uplocking seat over a very attractive wood insert. Blued guides, and agate insert on the stripper. Comes in an aluminum tube with brass hardware that is gaining a great looking patina. I have fished this rod three times, and loved every time out. Unfortunately, the streams I use a two weight on are so choked with willows, ... morethat anything over six feet does not work well, so it just has not gotten the time out it should. Vintage Fly Rod fiberglass? Pacific #8 Pat Cunningham Jr San Francisco CA
This is a 8 ½ two piece rod. The ferrules they have a dark patina. I think they are a combination of brass and steel. The rod show no sign of use, but I am fairly certain it's about 50 years old. I have no ideal who Cunningham is. But I looked up that address, and it is two blocks from the coast of South San Francisco. If anyone knows more about this rod. Please let me know. It has a courser finish than the Fenwick rods, kind of feels like a un painted pencil. The second section has a bit of a bow to it. I don't know if this is by design or age, if stored that way. As you well know. Wait times for a Mcfarland fly rod can be up to a year. They are in that kind of demand. This custom rod built on a Mcfarland blank is simply stunning. The raw glass has such an array of beauty to it. Setting it off is the burnt orange wraps, tipped in black. These wraps are perfectly complimented by the orange agate stripping guide and one of the absolute most amazing pieces of wood I have ever seen. This wood is called a natural afzelia burl. Which I have never seen before. Truly gorgeous. The four piece configuration makes backpacking a breeze. And when put together feels like a two piece. This is not a wimpy glass rod by any means. I have fished it less than five times, but have fished it on lakes, casting weight nymph rigs sixty feet without a hitch. Roll casting is this rod's forte. Echo Glass 6'9" 3 wt 3 pc fiberglass fly rod in excellent shape ROD ONLY REEL IS JUST FOR SHOW. I love this rod. It is one of the slowest casting fly rods i have used, the flex is all the way down the blank almost to the cork, the slow action is great for laying down dry flies and I can easily cast it out 40' I have landed 18" stocked rainbow trout on this rid and had no issues other than the light line and fine tippet made me have to spend more than 20 minutes to wear them down. The tip of the rod is very flexible and even when a big trout hits the fine tippet is protected. This is a very accurate casting rod that requires a slow casting style like bamboo rods do. Blue Gills put a bend in this rod and makes catching even the smallest fish in your local pond fun. You can read up on Echo Glass on Fiberglass Fly Rodder Forum ... morethe posts are always raving about the Glass 3 wt and compare it to much costlier fiberglass rods. I do really enjoy casting this rod at 40' targets with dry flies or wet hackles, I also fish#10 BH Buggers with it no problem. No other reason, I could go on and on about the smooth casting style of the Echo Glass and I have had a few glass rods in the past to compare it to. Mike McFarland Spruce Creek 6'9"3-2pc. fiberglass fly rod. This is an early Spruce Creek series rod with CSE nickel silver ferrules. Mike only built a small number of rods with nickel silver ferrules. So this is one you won't see too often. The 6'9"3 is a true 3 weight rod, it has a nice medium action with the correct amounts of delicacy and power. A perfect mountain stream rod. The nickel silver hardware is blued very well, the reel seat amboyna spacer matches the rod, the guides are in black, and the agate stripping guide compliments the whole package. The rod bag is a nice soft moleskin material, nicely done. The rod tube is a moss green with brass hardware. Will properly package the rod for shipping. Insurance will be included.

Berkley Para-Metric Deluxe PD40 8'0" 6/7wt 3pc Fiberglass Fly Rod
I love Berkley Para/Metrics with their spigot ferrules and what they called their circular tapers. The 8 footers are the sweet spot for these rods and I like them better than the Fenwick FF79's and FF806's. The Silaflex 322980's, the 8 ft Phillipsons, and the 8 ft Cortland ProCrest's. If you want a Berkley Para/Metric though, be sure to take a close look at either the P40(2pc) or PD40(3pc) They are the ones with the brass grip badge and walnut reelseat. Personally after trying all of the various Para/Metrics, I would take a close look at one of these before getting one of the Gowdy's or the Standards. The Gowdy's look great but can be pretty stiff. The Standards cast well but the grip and reelseat aren't as nice. I believe these 8ft PD40's as well as the 8ft P40's to be the best of the Para/Metrics and ... morethey perform beautifully. I usually buy them up when I can get them and give them away as gifts to kids, friends, etc. But I have a number of them right now and can sell one or two. This one is in very nice condition and comes with a nice Berkley case. One small problem is that it does have the letter R marked on the grip, a small cosmetic issue. It casts a 6wt line and a 7wt line equally well. Most of the time you find these rods, they are beat up because they were such good rods and people used them and didn't give them up. If you don't have one of these rods but want one, think twice about moving past this one because they are extremely hard to find in the 3 piece PD40 version, they are hard to find in this condition, and they are hard to find with a Berkley tube.

ECHO GLASS FLY ROD, 7' 10" 5 wt fiberglass trout
This is an Echo Glass 5 Wt fiberglass fly rod. Rod Sock and Rod Tube only, in excellent shape. The Echo Glass rods are wonderful to cast and they all cast the line they are rated for. You don't need to over line this rod at all. Any DT or WF floating line will do. The Rod has a very slow action even for a glass rod I think it is more like a bamboo rod action than fiberglass. It is not flimsy or noodle like at all but a very slow casting action. At 7' 10" this rod will mend well on the water and is capable of casting#8 BH Buggers with no problem. The slow action makes casting dries and light weight soft hackles out 60' no problem. The Echo 5 Wt is fun to cast even on the lawn. If you have never tried fiberglass fly rods this is a great first glass rod, it will give any fly caster a true glass feel. some of the less expensive glass rods are so stiff they feel like graphite and I have returned many of them to their manufacturers. Echo has a deep flex that goes down the rod almost all the way to the cork handle before it returns the energy back out to the line. I have been a long time ebay participant with 100% feed back so feel confident that this is a great rod for less than you will buy the new one for. Why am I selling a great rod? I have to many and I want more. it's a problem, i know, I am taking pills for it and perhaps will get shots soon too. And I am a 4wt lover, just love 4wt and after that 3wt is my favorite. I am famous for bringing too light a rod to a large river but I love that feel of being"out gunned" on a stream. This is an amazing glass rod by Leland Outfitters under their Red Truck label. I have fished it a few times. And must say it is a very fine fly rod, and beautifully appointed. The only issue with the rod is some soiling of the grip. No damage whatsoever. I had to re-glue the clip in the"Brews-Key" bottle opener that is under the screw on cap, but of course this does not affect the rod, and works perfectly for opening that bottle as well. That is one invention I would love to see other rod makers adopt. It has come in handy several times. I have fished this rod on only five occasions, but each time has been a joy. Very sensitive, and though I doubted I would like the grip, I absolutely love it. Very comfortable. The rod tube has a few small marks, but no dents or damage. The wrappings are all clean and tight. The brass handle and joint pieces are all in excellent condition. The rod even still has the original price tag on it. Vtg Montague early fiberglass G200 Fly Rod & Cortland Rim Fly Reel Old School VG
Fresh from a local estate sale this auction is for what looks to be an early 1960s MONTAGUE 6' Fiberglass Fly Fishing rod with a Cortland RIM FLY fly fishing reel Rod appears to be marked G-200 and is probably one of the early fiberglass rods they made when they were transitioning away from split bamboo rods. It is in good condition with the only flaw being some denting of the cork handle by the reel seat rings. Cortland reel is in good working condition with some use scratches. Winston Fiberglass Fly Rod 7'1/2" 3-4 WT.
Here is a vintage. San Francisco era RL Winston Fiberglass fly rod. The rod is 7-1/2 feet long and is inscribed with a line weight of 3-4. The weight of the rod is list as 2-1/4 oz. The wrappings are red with a tan tipping. The grip and reel seat are cork with aluminum slide bands. The spigot ferrul is white and when the rod is put together, there is about 1/4" gap between the sections. The rod bag is red cloth with the green winston patch. The rod tube has the winston logo. the tube has tape residue and age appropriate wear, small scratches, and 1 small dent) I believe this rod is all original, no repairs or other damage. The rod is in wonderful shape and is a joy to cast with a 3 Wt double taper line.

Garcia Conolon Fiberglass Fly Rod 6/7wt 8' 2pc
You are bidding on a Garcia conolon 8 ft 2 peice fly fishing rod. Model 8237-D. Dry fly action. AFTMA 6& 7. This rod was originally olive green in color, but the factory paint has been removed to reveal the natural tobacco brown colored glass. The metal ferrule has been removed and replaced with a fiberglass spigot ferrule. The reel seat is a new, but vintage aluminum Varmac rusty brown in the down locking position. Fenwick style cork grip and black winding check. All new chrome snake guides and tip top. The rod casts a 6 or 7wt line and has'classic' full-flex fiberglass action. Nice custom built fly rod using a fiberglass Lamiglas blank. Black anodized REC reel seat and matching black Hopkins& Holloway guides. Blank is 2 pc, 9 ft for a 7 or 8 weight line with tip over butt ferrule. End cap on seat is removeable if you want to add a fighting butt(not included. Grip is individual rings glued to blank and turned on a lathe. I fished this rod only once so it shows little or no use. Nice smooth progressive action- perfect for steelhead, bass, large browns or small stripers. No tube or sock but I will pack carefully and ship in PVC tube. Shipping to continental US will be $10.
