Split Bamboo Fly Fishing Pole Made in Japan 1956 Never Used Original Case Etc
This fishing pole was purchased in Japan by a friend of mine. When he was in the Navy in 1956. He never used it, and only recently discovered that He had it. I am selling it for him, and will do my best to answer any questions, and will do my best to describe it. It was made by" Clover in Japan" The main part of the pole(the part you grab) is 33" long. The handle is cork and has some type of varnish over it, probably left over from WWII. It is 11.30mm thick from where the bamboo starts from the handle. At the other end of the pole it is 8.98mm thick. The next piece is 32 1/2" long, and would be used to make a short pole, as it has the eylet at the end. It would fit into the main part of the pole. It is 4mm at the end. The next part is the center piece for a 3 piece pole. It is 32 1/2" long. It is right at 8mm on one ... moreend. And 6mm at the other end. Then there are 2 end pieces that are identical. They would be used on the very end. I suppose that one would be an extra. They are 5.25mm at one end and 3.5mm at the tip. Everything inside came with the pole. The flies. There are some wooden bobbers in a package. There were 2 packages, one dissinegrated, the other did not, why one and not the other? There is some fishing line marked"silk line" and of course the case. I hope I have covered it all.

Vintage leather fly fishing pouch with 42 flies! Estate find! I do not know anything about fly fishing or flies. Hopefully the pictures tell all. It is very cool, old and musty but cool! I counted approximately 42 flies. Some look fancy, others don't. They are all kind of stuck to the cloth and I didn't want to risk damaging anything or hooking myself! Vintage 1970s Fishing Fly-Tying Kit w/Booklet
You are bidding on one lot of one older fly-tying kit in a plastic case that comes with an instruction booklet by Eric Leiser dated 1978. I do not believe the kit is complete but it appears it has many items in unused condition. Included in the case is a hook vise with a table clamp. A thread bobbin that fits in the vise, a tweezers, looks like some gel cement for the threads that is untested, several spools of thread, several packs of hooks(some with small weights) a sample fly, several packs of colorful feathers, a few packs of animal hair, and a few packs of something called hackle. Some of the packs have a bait and tackle shop sticker so I don’t think everything is original to the kit. The case is hard to close. Overall a nice beginner’s fly-tying kit. 2-Vtg. Fly Fishing Rod & Reel Combos/Automatic Martin #81 & Mohawk # 1106
You are bidding on these 2 estate found. Fly fishing rod& reel combo kits. I don't know the exact age, but they are vintage. I purchased all of the fellows fishing rods, but I don't fly fish at all. The red colored reel is a Martin# 81 Automatic Mohawk reel, that is mounted on a Martin"Tuffy" rod.The rod is around 9' long, and the recoil on the reel does work very well. The trigger on the reel needs cleaned up, it is kinda rusty looking, but works well and looks as though it will clean up. The green reel is a"Mohawk-Horrocks-Ibbotson" Co, Utica-NY#1106. It works very well, but there is no griese in the gears, and does need to be griesed. The rod is is just marked"3500 F G 7' All eyelets are in place and seems to be solid. Thanks for looking.
