Fishing reels. Vintage. Lot includes 2 spinning, 1 casting, and 2 fly fishing.
Five different vintage fishing reels plus a leather Heddon reel carrying case and a vintage reel box for a Shakespeare 1946M Service level Winding Reel. All five reels are in fair shape but have had better days. Spinning reels are a Garcia Abu-matic 170 made in Sweden. Reel does not work(won't crank in line) and a Heddon#150. This reel is missing the spool cover but does work. The one casting reel is a South Bend#300"anti-bacl lash" model D. This reel works fine. Needs a little WD-40. Lot has two fly fishing reels.one is a Southbend"oren-o-matic" balanced reel#1130 model D. This is a nice looking reel but doesn't work the way it should. Last is a fly fishing reel that I think is a H-I made in New York. Not sure as to make as there is no markings on it. This reel too needs work. As I said. Vintage South Bend Orneo-Matic Fly Fishing Reel
For sale at a fixed price is this fairly hard to find early 1940s vintage Automatic Fly Fishing Reel. It is the South Bend Bait Company Model 1125 Oren-O-Matic. It is the USA made in Ohio. Paticularly difficult to find is the original marked leather reel bag that you see in the photo. The reel is loaded with the old brown fly line that I think is silk. This one is used but in good condition for one of these with one exception.if you hold the reel to look at it from the side you can see that the bottom plate is slightly bent on one side. It does not interfere with the operation and it is not very noticeable.I only caught when looking at it just now. The reel works smoothly with a nice strong spring. VINTAGE UNKNOWN UNMARKED FLY FISHING REEL
Vintage unknown. Unmarked fly fishing reel. The frame appears to be aluminum, and one of the plates could be brass, the other plate looks and feels like bakelite. Not sure though. No markings as to brand or place of manufacture. Reel shows overall wear, particularly to the rims. There are some corrosion patches also, and the handle knob looks like it's undergone some shrinkage and does not turn easily on the post. Reel still has old line on it. Lot of 7 Okuma High Performance Nomad soft sided fly fishing rod cases. Approximate dimensions are 32" long by 4.5" wide by 3" tall. These are all from a lot of returned merchandise from Bass Pro Shops. So I am pretty sure that they are not brand new. However, they show very little wear and I tested the zippers and all work smoothly. I believe that these were part of a package sold with a rod and when the rod broke, the customer returned the rod and the case. Just my best guess. These items are sold AS IS, please look carefully at pictures and ask questions if necessary. These are very nice embroidered cases.

Here's a rare and Exquisit Vintage Antique Pre-1900 Fly Fishing Reel(made of wood + brass + horn) it has a click drag which is engaged/disengaged by the brass button on the back. All gears and drag working parts are made of brass. Reel handles are made of some type of horn with brass fittings. brass button on front is to remove spool from seat. The spool and the back of the reel seat are made of unknown hardwood with some light grooves engraved into them. The back of the spool and the reel seat have some machined tin or aluminum so that dirt doesn't enter the drag assembly. Reel has no indication of manufacturer Working condition is excellent. Click drag works great- you could take this out and fish with it immediately. Spool spins freely on spindle when drag is removed. Note: one tooth is broken on the drag gear, see photos- doesn't ... moreeffect operation. Visual condition is excellent. Shows no sign of wear, except where your finger nail would rub next to the handle and wood has a scratch or two and neither are really even worth mentioning. Finish is still glossy and no bare spots- may have been just lacquered and not stained. Reel foot shows no sign of wear.
