This one is in very good cosmetic shape and the function appears good but the spring cover is loose and I don't have any experience with these reels as far as repair so won't mess with it. Up for bid is one vintage TROWBRIDGE Nickel Plated Brass Trout/Fly Reel w/2:1 Multiplier. This reel is brass construction with nickel plating. The plating is worn off almost completely. But there are small amounts remaining. On the face plate it is inscribed with"TROWBRIDGE, BOSTON" There is a clicker controlled by turning the button on the front cover. It works, but it is weak and somewhat uneven in its' workings. It has a lift out drag button on the rim of the front cover. It doesn't seem to add drag to any degree that is noticeable. The handle has a hard rubber knob. The foot is attached in a somewhat messy way and appears to have been refastened at some point. Up for bid is one Vintage YALE METAL PROD. CO. Nickel Plated Single Action Fly Reel. This reel has a nickel plated brass handle with a wood knob and counterweight. Brass is the base metal on the pillars. Bearing cap, clicker button, and screws. The plating on the body and spool is in good condition with some missing on the back and on the foot(see photos) The base metal on the body and spool is not brass where it shows, it looks more like nickel silver. There is a clicker controlled by a slide button on the rear plate. The clicker is very weak to the point it is barely there. There is no markings identifying the reel as a Yale product. I found a picture of a very similar reel that was marked YALE, and the article explained that the tulip cutouts were generally associated with Yale Metal Products, but in another discussion board it was stated ... morethat the tulip cutout pattern was common on stamped reels from about 1910 to 1935 in the New York region and could also be by Rochester or Union City(competitors of Yale) It measures 2-5/8" diameter. 3-9/16" deep including the handle, and has a foot measuring 2-1/2" long by 5/8" wide.
