Vintage Combination Fly/Spinning/Casting rod combo. This one comes in a wooden case. This has been sitting around the house for over 40 years and its time to go. It looks like bamboo. But is not. Can be made into an approx. 8 foot fly rod or a 5'4" spinning/casting rod by simply reversing the handle and inserting different sections. Very unique piece of fishing history. There is no name on the rod or the box. Would be a great addition to your fishing memorabilia. NOTE: I will be unable to ship any items from 1/9/13-1/12/13. Sorry for any inconvenience.

This is Voitage Fly Rod made in England by Hardy Bros Ltd. This item belonged our family member. I honestly don't understand them at all so I made pictures of everything what is together in the Bag. On The Handle part is written: Made by Hardy Bros Ltd. Alnwick, England, No. E13013 and PAT. No. 20875/22 On The bottom part of piece no. 2 is: The All in one Rod. Vintage Japanese Split Bamboo 5 pc Fly/Cast Rod w/ Case, Reel and Accessories
This 5 piece rod includes cork handle rod. Extension rod and 3 tips to provided different lengths and weight of line. The labeling is partially missing, but the NIPPON is visible on the handle piece. Some of the coating on the rod is worn away and missing. The rod tips are good and clean with no pitting. Accessories include a reel which is pitted and dirty and has old line; spinning lures; a fly labeled Black Gnat- S. Allcock and Co. Redditch, Eng. Pflueger Split Shot in metal can; BB shot in wooden container and the box. Box is dented. The sliding covers are included but not in slides. The label in the box reads Sportsman Trading Co- Ltd, Japan.

Vintage 5 piece bamboo fly rod spin rod combo Pat aug 22, 1905 (Montague)
Search This is a vintage combo fly and spin rod. I was told that this is made by Montague but there is no name on it. Only the pat date of aug 22, 1905. I think this is called a reversing handle rod but not sure. The pieces appear to be the proper lengths but all the guides are missing. The finish on the metal parts need to be cleaned and polished so they will fit together as they do not fit together as they now are. When the pieces are laid out on the floor the fly rod sections appear to be about 100 inches long and the spinning or casting rod appear to be 74 inches. I am guessing about how they all fit together but I really dont know. This rod needs a lot of work but the bamboo looks to be in good shape so maybe could be used for parts if you need them. Edwards Bristol FB-7 bamboo fly rod - Very Nice!
This Bristol- Edwards rod is an excellent casting rod in very very nice condition. It has a great balance when fishing it- feels light in the hand. Very forgiving easy to cast long or short distances with a 7wt line. One of the finest 9' rods I've handled. Nickel silver ferrules are a perfect fit- no clicking what so ever. Varnish is great. Wraps and guides very nice. Reel seat and cork is excellent. Cane is excellent and straight. Bag and tube are original and excellent. It's been truly a joy to own and fish this rod and I'm sure the next owner will feel the same.

I was given this fly rod several years ago and was going to use it when a friend told me it was not neccessarily the state of the art. But that it was a Classic fly rod and appreciated by true flyfishermen affectionatos. I therefore, put it up and even though I enjoy fly fishing immensely, I am still using my original LLBeam rod with a nondisc brake Battenkill reel and have caught fish from Wyo to the Battenkill River. A classic like this belongs to someone who enjoys fly fishing, but more so, appreciates its history. I do not think this reel has ever been attached to the rod. The cork is old but in generally good condition. You can see where tape was previously wrapped around the cork. The fly tip is broken and missing. Vintage P&K Modernist split bamboo tonkin cane fly fishing rod 8 1/2 feet long
I have for sale a hard to find and great size vintage 8&1/2 food split bamboo fly rod with tube and sock. Ready for fishing or collecting. Label is P&K otherwise known as Pachner and Koller out of Chicago. Rod looks like it was made by Horrocks and Ibbotson(H&I) There are two re-wraps on the mid section but all sections are equal length. Beautiful agate or agatine stripper guide on the butt section. each section measures 35 inches long and when fitted together the rod is 102 inches or 8 feet. 6 inches long. Nice length for a 3 piece rod. Rod probably dates to late 1940's early 1950's. Check out the pictures!

VINTAGE BAMBOO PACK FLY ROD Here's something you won't find very often. It is a vintage Tonkin Cane bamboo pack fly rod. The fly rod is actually two rods in one! It consists of eight one foot sections that. When put together, will make a seven foot or a six foot fly rod. The rod itself is unmarked. The rod butt has a down sliding reel seat and a 4 1/2" sheet cork grip. All sections have a Green silk winding with Red accents. Each section, except the butt, have one snake guide, plus tip sections have two different types of tip tops. The bamboo is sound, but needs a revarnish, and some of the ferrules need reglued.
