Here's a Vintage Heddon Pal Pro Weight, this is the original version of this fine fly rod. It casts beautifully as all the original brown fiberglass fly rods are highly regarded by fly fishermen and difficult to find. A 7 1/2' 2 piece fly rod for weight 6 fly lines, it's in good condition with only some abrasions found on ferrule. The ferrule fits securely. Consider the pictures and contact me with any questions. Most of them are not identifiable by me except the pole all the way to the right which is a Heddon and is the only one that is NOT bamboo and the one all the way to the left which is marked"Crown" The boxes and bags are empty. I think the box. Which has some fitted places to rest pole parts is for the Crown and the one bag is marked Heddon. Otherwise I have grouped them into like pieces. I WOULD SAY THAT THIS PARTICULAR ROD WAS MADE BY HEDDON. IT'S AN 8 1/2' THREE PIECE. TWO TIP ROD. AS YOU CAN SEE IN THE PHOTOS. BOTH OF THE TIP TOP GUIDES ARE MISSING, AS WELL AS TWO SNAKE GUIDES. THE REEL SEAT IS A COMPOSITE MATERIAL. SOME TYPE OF PLASTIC?AND IT HAS A PORTION THAT IS SWOLLEN AND SPLIT, STILL FUNCTIONAL, BUT UGLY. A FRIEND OF MINE HAS REPAIRED SOME OF HIS WITH EPOXY AND BAKING SODA DYED WITH LAMP BLACK(assuming the reel seat is black in color)AND THEY COME OUT SURPRISINGLY WELL.IF YOU BUY THE ROD. YOU CAN EMAIL ME FOR HOW HE DOES IT. THERE IS NO DAMAGE IN ANY OF THE BAMBOO SECTIONS.THE VARNISH IS FAIR TO GOOD.NICKEL SILVER FERRULES ARE GOOD. THE FEMALE ON THE BUTT SECTION HAS SOME SCRATCHES, ALL OF THE FERRULES HAVE A DARK FINISH ON THE EXTERIORS. I SAW ONE OF THESE RODS IN JUST ABOUT THE SAME CONDITION. A BIT CLEANER, SELL FOR CLOSE TO $500.00 AT A TACKLE SHOW TWO YEARS AGO.
