This auction includes the"Jitterbug" lure and the box bottom carefully packaged for the winner. The lure comes from our good friend J.V. and his lifelong collection. Watch for lots of lures! This is a collection of over 2.000 lures! LURE MARKINGS: The dive lip reads: Jitterbug Patented by Fred Arbogast Akron. Ohio. The back is nicely marked in red letters: JITTERBUG. The age is known to be WWII era and 1940's. LURE CONDITION: The lure measures aprox. 2-1/2" long. If the Red Head was ever used much we'd know it and it would not look like this. This lure could be un-fished we would have no way of knowing. This displays with a pristine white body and red head. NO serious damage found anywhere. This one has the plastic lip fully intact. Often times these are found with a damaged lip. The plastic lip Jitterbugs were only made during the WWII era due to all metal being used for the war. It's doubtful you'll a nicer one anytime soon. This Jitterbug's a beauty! THE BOX: This was found in just the box bottom. There is NO LID for this particular box. There's no serious damage found on the box. There's light soiling. It is faded and does not have all its fo rmer glory. But is still a really neat collector's item. There are some m i nor rust colored spots located under the Jitterbu g on the front which I have atte mpted to show in the last scan. There could be some other very faint tiny spotting or stains if it is inspected inch by inch. B u t the overall appearance is what you see in the scans.
