Lamiglas E-Glass, 9' Medium 2pc. spinning rod, Varmac hardware, new old stock!!
I should have sold this rod on the fourth of July. It is one of the few all American made rods you will find. I used completely vintage parts on this rod. And all the parts were new old stock. I started with a 7903L Lamiglas Fiberglass 9' Light rod blank, Made in Woodland Washington) I then added a vintage new old stock Varmac reel seat, and finished with Aetna Gudebrod hard chrome non fouling style double ft. guides. The cork was probably From Portugal but this Oregon born rod builder formed it into a super sweet handle. The wrap color reflects the color of the blank and reel seat, as well as the guides. It is original gudebrod gold trimar like they used in the times past. I used a varmac gold mushroom butt cap on the end. It is a beautiful pc. of art, and would be great for fishing with yourself, or as a gift to one of your fishing ... morebuddies who talk about the old days. The blank does not have a decal, but those who have had the old Lamiglas fiberglass blanks will recognize the look. I also have an old catalog that gives the original specs for wt. and diameter. Wrapped for spinning reels with no fixed reel seat. Currently has a Fuji FS-7SB reel seat taped on. Seat can be moved depending on weight of the reel and user preference. Wire guides show some green corrosion on the feet. There are small scuffs and scratches throughout but nothing that affects the integrity of the rod. This auction is for a very hard to find vintage Lamiglas 601 5 piece spin/fly trout rod combination. 7' 6" In good condition. Cork handle. Real seat, guides, wraps and tips are all intact.
