DESCRIPTION; Garcia Mitchell 300 World’s Smoothest. Most Versatile Spinning Reel, Code No. 1101 Right-Hand Model made by the Garcia Corp, Teaneck, NJ, a product of France. Has this on the side of the box. A 450117. CONDITION; This item was purchased in 1968. The reel has never been used and is in brand new condition. It has been stored down in the basement all these years. The paper cover is warped from basement moisture and it has a slight smell. Probably if it was left in the sun for a few days it would go away. There is no mold on it. Just that weird smell. The paper has a rip on one side that was taped together and on the other side a piece is missing. The plastic container has some scuffs all over it just from being moved around from place to place. The inside of the container has a red bleed spot on the yellow near the right lower side of the space that looks like a watermelon slice(where the handle rests) I was going to wash the container but thought maybe I should just leave it alone and let the new owner clean it if they wish. When you open the container the hinge on the back makes a loud noise but it is not broken. I think it is just off center or tight. A very good condition MITCHELL 300 PRO reel with some minor rub spots. Usual small marks on one end of reel foot. And a small paint loss mark on reel handle(see photo 2) Reel comes with 3 Spare Graphite Spools(Photos only show 2 spare spools, 3 are supplied) and original cloth drawstring bag. Has no box or papers. Smooth operating, nice bail arm operation and fit for a lot more fishing.
