VINTAGE MITCHELL 300 HALF BAIL REEL '46-'49 WITH BOX & XTRA SPOOL NICE
Up for bids is a rare Mitchell 300 Half Bail reel in excellent condition. With really decent box and original extra spool with aluminum housing. Reel has some rubs on edging as is common with any used reel but still super for such an oldie. SN nope! Only a'V' on bottom foot indicating it is from 1946-1949. Please view pics and bid accordingly. Box top does have one of those obvious oil stain or something so not perfect cosmetically but the integrity of the box is as good as you find- all edges perfect without splits and also with the square cardboard spacer still there! Reel is in excellent shape with superb glossy paint with very minor rubs where you expect- bottom edge of gear housing and slight rub on spool housing edge. Both very minor- see pics and bid accordingly. Box is in excellent shape also. Came with just a small spool. Reel functions as Mitchells do- smooth retrieve with solid& strong bail set and release. Anti-reverse nice. One manual is for parts. Disassembly and maintenance. And stands 5" Tall at Spools lowest point. Made In France. Condition: Overall 8 to 10 in excellent. Clean condition.The drag pulls nice and smooth. Vintage MITCHELL 300 Fishing Reel Made In France ~OLD WORKHORSE~ Very Good Shape
Hi! You are bidding on a very nice MITCHELL 300 reel that was made in France. This reel appears to be in very good working condition. The reel winds smooth and quietly. The spool button releases easily. The bail spring does close back when you open it as if to cast. But it does so slowly! I think this could be remedied by a thourough cleaning. This was an estate sell item, and is being sold in found condition. Most all of the paint is present, but there are the initials.KE scratched into the reel body right below the Garcia Mitchell 300 logo is located. I do not fish, therefore I do not need it. As stated earlier, this reel was Made In France. I am starting this reel out really cheap, so GOOD LUCK with your bids! Mitchell 300 Half Bail Spinning Reel 3rd version - For Repair or Parts
Mitchell 300 half bail Third version. Low serial number A 08677 I found this at a Garage sale. And used it for three years. I lost the knob that holds the spool on. It is a beater, but still has usable parts. The spring mechanism in the spool looks different than the ones I find for sale on line. Perhaps this is of some significance to reel collectors. A picture of the reel mechanism is incuded. The anti reverse does not work now. But it did before I lubricated it. Price is started low. good luck.

Up for auction is a superb 1956 Mitchell 300 with perfect original blue box. Extra spool and container(large and small spools) Very hard to find sweet older ones in this pristine condition. The reel looks to have never been mounted on a rod- no rub marks on foot! The reel's finish is near perfect. Only has very minor rub on housing by lube screw. It is otherwise perfect. Shiny with no paint loss or rash. Functions as designed- smooth bail/release, and anti-reverse. Serial#1311093 also with'R' on foot. Please view pics and bid accordingly.
