2) Vintage Garcia Mitchell 300 Reels I don't think I need to say much about the 300. I think we all know what a fine reel it is. Both reels are in nice physical shape and shows slight signs of use as you can see in the pictures. Mechanically perfect! I just removed the side cover and lubed the gears with the best"Surfcaster" lube. The gears looked new on both reel.I was amazed. Vintage International 100 Spinning Reel Mitchell 300 Clone. Here’s a neat old reel from Japan made almost exactly like the Mitchell 300. A few differences are the pinion gear is held in place by a shoulder screw with a nut on the outside of the side plate and there are oil nipples on the bottom and back of the case. It has a half bail with thumb release. Nice green color. Good condition except some paint wear and scratches and the brass bail has most of the chrome worn off. There is what appears to be the letter X and then the numbers 58355 stamped which are shown in one of the pictures. This reel appears to be complete. In original untampered condition with much less than normal wear for its age! Screw heads appear to be unused. Handle original and very little scratch or wear to the body. This reel appears to have lived most its days in the original box.not on the end of a fishing rod! Also included is an extra spool in a metal container. A 23 page instructional manual with 2 pages dedicated as Mitchell reel parts list with replacement prices, which may be a little more costly today! Smooth operating with a good strong bail spring. Left side plate just reads MITCHELL( NO 300) The serial number instead of being on the reel foot is on upper right side plate 367516. Lower right side plate MADE IN FRANCE. Some light wear on edges of spool. Lower edges of housing, and some wear spots on rotating head surface. Some light wear on front and back surface of reel foot. Plating is tarnished and worn on bail wire. A good fishable or collectible reel.

A lot of 5-Mitchell spinning reels for parts/repair/restoration/to mechanically sound working condition plus a plastic case/box(only) w/paper for a 308(see pictures 9-11) All the reels show sign of"use" wear and tear to different degrees of tackle box"rash" with paint loss. The Garcia Mitchell 300 LH(A491967) is mechanically sound, as is the 300A LH(T-5-02) and the 1160G RH(Taiwan) Both the 3-0-4 LH(152347) and the 3-5-0 5/1 LH(1202731) are in working condition but should go through a good cleaning and maintenance check. The 304 is the has the most significant cosmetic isssues with considerable paint loss and the 350 5/1's bail wire assembly is pretty crusty and needs attention if not replaced. This reel is super nice and works great. Mechanically it is like new. Cosmetically it is very good also. It looks clean and has minimal wear. It has line that looks to be in good condition. It comes with the top half of what looks to be the original box in sound condition with some wear but no tearing. The label is peeling at one corner and across the top.
