Great color combo of medium sea blue striping and Dutch girl with goose and lid with a cream color for contrast. Pop off lid is in great shape. You are bidding on a used ORIGINAL P440F NEWELL in good condition. This is the one that has 5 to 1 gears with the 4 stack drag washers which is highly desired by Newell fans. The reel was just serviced. Bearings were cleaned and oiled with Speedx and has excellent freespool. All moving parts were cleaned and greased. Also. Four( 4) new carbontex drag washers with a light coat of Cal's drag grease were also installed. The gears are smooth and quiet. It is ready to go.just add line. 10/10 mechanical and 8/10 cosmetics(minor wear on the edges of the side plates. Light scratches on the handle knob and the tips of the star and"Newell" label is missing some black paint) The base, spool, clamp, chrome rings, cross bars and the side plates and are really clean and show minimal wear. Used Newell Parts - P 235 F - Aluminum Base and Bars
Used set of Newell aluminum base and bars off of an original P235F reel. They are not in perfect shape because of use. But they are still in real great condition. All screw holes were previously greased and were fully functional. There is some slight wear on the reel base foot, but very minor. I would personally consider this cosmetic. The reel seat still has plenty of life and the foot is still strong for continued use. Please examine all pictures carefully and make your own judgment on the condition. These are the exact parts you will receive. This set of base and bars can be used as a replacement for your 235. Or use them to extend any 200 series reel to the 235 width. I believe this is also similar to a P338 base and bars, so you could also use them to upgrade your 300 series with aluminum parts to a 338 width. Very nice original Duo-Art player piano roll. This roll was recently played on our Duo-Art player piano and it played beautifully! Roll in great shape. Sub box. Avalon Town played by Newell Chase Roll and box are beautiful condition. All rolls have been played on our player piano- however. We didn't make notes and there are so many, that they are in varying degrees of condition. They are all playable, but you will find some minor edge frays, possible leader mends and a few edge mends in the batch. Boxes are in good to very poor condition- there are even a few sub boxes in the batch. But mostly original. A few of the rolls have NO boxes, but we'll try to point that out when we run across one. Antique 1882 Dark Wood Newell Post With Wooden Carved Light Fixture
This came from the back staircase of a historic victorian home in Wellington. Ohio that I am rehabbing. You are more than welcome to inspect and pick up in person. Right now it is in 2 pieces, as I found it. The light section is really heavy with a thick angular centerpiece with surrounding spindles. I would assume it is oak. Heavy dense wood, but I can't really tell for sure with the dark stain. I definitely would rewire. That is a light socket on top. Together they are 61" tall. With the newell post being 41" alone. 6" across. Some egg and dart trim is present around top, which can easily be repaired with new. Please ask any questions. Posted with

Vintage Antique Large Pine Finial Baluster Newell Post
Up for auction today is an Antique finial that would go on top of a baluster or post. It is made from a single piece of pine. It is 9" high x 21-1/2" ball circumference x 6-1/4" wide across the base. We found this at an estate sale cleaned it up and hand rubbed with wood wax. It has 3 of the antique nails if you want to re-attach to a post. Please see the pictures above for"character" marks. This is a matching set spoon and bowl. The spoon has the word STERLING and the 3 hallmarks for Watson Newell on the back.The bowl has the word Sterling and 4 numbers on the bottom. As you can see from the pictures the handles match. Intricate cut outs for the spoon. The bowl has what they call"gold wash" on the inside. Remainder clear sterling. It has a left handed pour lip. A few scuff marks on the gold wash area. See pictures. May polish out. The 2 of them together weigh just over 100 GM.

Robert Patterson, a horse, crossed flags with a horseshoe( something that looks like grass(maybe Kentucky bluegrass? a monument and the words"Clay Monument. The bowl of the spoon depicts a log cabin and has the words"Old Kentucky Home" and"Lexington. It could also be a small condiment spoon of some sort. It has the mark. Although it's rather worn, for Newell Harding, a Massachusetts silversmith born in 1796 who died in 1862. He was active in the business until shortly before his death, first in Boston and later in Haverhill. This information comes from a couple on online reference sources for silversmiths and their marks. The piece is monogrammed as shown, upside down unfortunately, in the first photo. There are some shallow dents almost like bite marks on one side of the bowl as shown in the photo as well as ... morea faint crease. That and some surface wear are the only condition issues to note. Absolutely gorgeous Watson& Newell Sterling Silver Scalloped Large Serving Spoon made in 1908. My research shows this is called Magnolia. But some people are calling it Bridal Flower. I have not been able to figure out which is which because they look very much alike. It is about 9-3/4" long and weighs 92 grams. It has what looks like a B monogram. On the back is the makers mark of a crown. W and lion and the word Sterling, which indicates Watson& Newell Company of Attlesboro, Mass. The company changed its name to Watson Company in 1915. The stem is decorated on the front and back all the way to the bowl. This is a beautiful and very rare piece. I have not been able to find another one on any site in the world on the net. Some of these fancy pieces were made to order. So this probably is one of those. This is in excellent condition ... morewith nothing bent. It astounds me that this is 105 years old! All of the silver flatware I am selling belonged to my grandmother. I have not tried to polish or clean anything because I was told not to do so. You are bidding on a Vintage Penn Senator 113 4/0 Big Game Salt Water Fishing Reel with Newell power handle. This reel is used and does show normal signs of fishing age. Use and wear. The reel is pretty good condition for its age. It does have some light tarnishing and pitting on the reel, but overall is light. It has a nice etched mural of a SailFish on the opposite handle side. The color of the reel is black. The reel operates flawlessly. This would make a nice addition to any Penn Collection or go out and put this reel to good use. Hot Air Balloon, Peter Newell Antique Chromolith Print
This print is from scarce book that is over100 years old. It is a lovely color plate. With a blank back and a tissue overlay. The artist is Peter Newell. A famous Victorian era illustrator. It depicts a whimsical scene of a man trying to catch bullets from the basket of his hot air balloon(presumably after they have been shot up in the air at him! boy surprising a bear. The caption(written in faint blue-gray in the margin) reads: As their bullets got to thier highest point and began to drop back. I reached out and caught them. This particular chromolith is of exceptional quality because it used EIGHT colors. Which gives it a feeling of remarkable depth. The paper is heavy and toned cream with age. It has a blank back, meaning it was printed separately from the text for better quality and then tipped in or sewn into the book when it was bound. ... moreIt would look charming framed—especially as decoration in a childs room!
