With the intent of full disclosure, here is a list of pros and cons: Pros- nice rod for delicate presentation of dry flies in small rivers. But with enough backbone to handle lunkers includes aluminum tube and top quality(Sage) rod sock free shippping cork handle fine sanded to like new condition would pair nicely with the ORVIS reel I have for sale in another auction use Buy it Now and get it in time for Christmas- priced to sell Cons- this rod has been repaired by me after it broke just below the stripper due to a trip/fall where the rod got the worst of it- see the last picture- cosmetically not pretty and 2 inches shorter. But with a 4" steel pin inside(2 inches either side of the break) it is very functional, and since it is a fast action rod, most of the flexing is in the upper section which is in very good condition with no nicks as I never used it for nymphing or streamers. Also, rod tube cap was lost, so a hardwood substitute does the same job as the metal cap, just not as pretty. If you are buying gear to impress your friends, pass on this one. This is a minimalist pack. Has one large main compartment. With a sleeve in the back of the compartment. The main compartment also has bungee compression pulls to compress the contents, restricting movement. The pack also has two small side compartments, two mesh tippet slots on the front, and a zinger sleeve. Also there is a fly patch on the top. The vest is used but has minimal wear. Peak Rotary Vice for Fly Tying in great condition. I did have the pin that holds the clamp lever in place come out and I replaced it with a heavier duty one. I also added a hook magnet to the flat base to keep hooks in place when tying several flies. I probably tied 500 flies on this vice from#18 dries to 3/0 streamers and jointed streamers. It has been an excelent vice only about a year old. Purchased new January 2012. Only selling to use money for higher priority life expenses. Preowned Men's Orvis Traveling Jacket size LT (Large Tall)
This is a great preowned Orvis traveling jacket. This is a super high quality jacket as you'd expect from Orvis. Mens size LT(Large Tall) Measuring 25 inches from arm pit to arm pit and 35 inches from collar to bottom. It is made of 100% cotton heavy canvas with leather elbow patches, pocket and sleeve trim. The jacket is preowned and shows some wear(leather is slightly faded) but no rips, tears, or other significant damage. Lots of use left in this jacket. Just a great jacket. Do your legs and feet get cold? Up for bid is this pair of Orvis Battenkill 5-mm Guide-Weight Battenkill neoprene bootfoot waders in size 10-L. They have felt soles and are in great shape with only a few hours of use. Take a look at the felt sole closeups. They are very rugged with knee pads. A reinforced seat, and Thinsulate insulated boots. The waders sold for $239 new as you can see by the price marked on the box. This wader is made with integral neoprene suspenders having velcro closures. Each suspender has a D-ring for fastening a wading staff lanyard or other accessories. There is a large external neoprene chest pocket which has a smaller pocket inside. Plus an additional zippered security pocket for things like pills or car keys. The top of the neoprene pocket overlaps and is secured by velcro at two points to keep out moisture. On ... morethe front outside of the neoprene pocket are three mesh pockets-each with a velcro closure-for things like tippet spools, strike indicators, split shot, and small hook, fly or lure boxes. It is made of solid brass and has the commanding heft of a maritime navigational instrument. It a working replica. All parts are in perfect working order. It has not been used, and everything works properly, just as it was manufactured. All hinges are tight and fluid. Glass bezel face and mirror are clear and scratch-free. The instrument comes in the pictured wooden case that is also in perfect condition.
