It has a click and pawl drag with an adjustment knob. It is a sturdy reel that would be good for trout or larger species of fish. We have read that it is designated for use with 7/8/9 weight lines. Up for sale is a Beautiful Orvis Trident TL 4 piece Fly Fishing Rod. This comes with a semi hard Red carrying case. There are only 2 minor issues I found with this. The trident on the pole looks to be worn off slightly and the butt cap seems to be on loosely. Other then these very minor issues this seems to be in very good condition. Orvis Golden Eagle Fiberglass Fly Rod (Phillipson Epoxite)
Here is a(Like New) Orvis Golden Eagle 8' 2/1 6wt. It is in absolutely beautiful condition. The rod has had one owner and was very lightly fished when new and then stored safely for decades. These rods were made on Phillipson epoxite blanks and are the pinacle of a good fiberglass rod. For the Orvis or Phillipson collector this is a must have. The rod. As with all Orvis rods, is overated and stated to be a 7wt. The rod is not good with a 7wt line, it feels tippy. However, if you put a DT6 cortland peach444 on this rod, it truly is magificent. Some people claim to use this rod for bass. I used it on a spring creeks in WY and it was the perfect rod for medium size rising trout. Full flexing, very delicate presentations, and a true delight to cast. The 8' rod seems to pop up less than the shorter Eagles and is just as rare in this condition. ... moreOriginal bag and tube. Orvis 50a ultralight reel in excellent shape. It has been recently reconditioned. So the insides are clean, lubricated, and solid. The reel has very few if any scratches, and is very tight. The only minor problem is that the bail spring is a little loose; nevertheless, the bail flips easily and solidly. All in all. This is a beautiful example of a classic reel.

The Stripping Guides and been replaced with the Correct Size Etna Guide. George Reid/ Bill Young'Collaboration Built. As it was customarily done by Orvis and other Well Known Rod Makers. The Collaborative build became the industry standard in that fly rods could be built faster in which to meet large demands while allowing Two Sets of Very Trained Eyes Judge the Work to be released to a Very Fussy Clientele. On September 11. 1967 Master Rod Builders George Reid and Bill Young completed the rod now offered. Looking very much like it did some 45 plus years ago, the Superlight has been ... morethe victim of a car window. Originally 6' 2 Piece Ultra Light for those of us that like to go'Light lining' and fish anywhere from 1 1/2 Pound Test up to 3 1/2 pound test. In Most Cases, Broken Tip Rods are pretty much worthless and don't fish properly. The Fact that this started out as a 6 Foot Superlight and has is no approximately 5' 6" Vs 6' has actually only taken the rod to the next level of Ultra Light Rods. I took it out and put it up against my Mint Superlight with 4 Pound Test, Both Rods using an Orvis 50A with Daiwa Steez 4 pound test line. The Rod offered Felt Very Much Like. When you loose the tip on a Heavy or Heavier Rod well it's pretty much shot, but when you loose the tip on a Whippy Super Ultra Light, you end up with basically a Light Weight better suited for lines between 3 1/2 and 6 Weight. The Rod Cast without any weird feelings or action and while tossing lures to some of our Big Bass on the South West side of the lake where the Big Bass tend to back up into their holes and Waite for what ever the next Qualified Meal might be, I had no problem having them take my Tied Crayfish. Orvis Fullflex Rod Vintage- NEVER USED Length: 7ft. 4 pieces- 3 1/4 oz. Orvis- HCF(7) I was given this as a gift many. Many years ago. My husband and I both were given Orvis poles and we put them away and never used them as we wanted to keep them good. I was told mine was a Camper Special and I figured it would become a collectible so I never used it. The case looks worn as it has been kicking around in my cellar for years and it was recently I decided to sell them as I know I will never use them. The other one is also listed and can be found in my eBay store under Antiques. I have no idea what this is made of but do know it is not bamboo. I have two rods and know one is a composit and the other is fiberglas. I have no idea which one is which. I will be listing them separately because I can't get all the pictures in one listing. ORVIS IMPREGNATED BAMBOO 7 FOOT MEDIUM ACTION SPINNING ROD THIS ROD IS NEAR MINT I doubt it was used a dozen times 2 piece 7 foot medium action weighs 4 5/8 ounces six guides and a tip. Cork handle with slide rings has a cloth sleeve in a plastic tube and will be shipped in a cardboard tube over that in doing the history I wrote to Orvis and they told me that this Rod was made on February 2. 1972 by Ron White and if you like the classics. What you are looking at is a great small stream fly rod and reel setup! The Scott F2 is in great shape- only used a handful of times. This 3wt. rod is great for small trout or panfish. Scott F2 703/3 retail price=$645.00. This setup also comes with a Orvis Battenkill 3/4 reel. A great disc drag reel that was used for one season. The reel has Scientific Anglers"Mastery Series Trout" Wf3F already spooled on that was also only used one season. The fly line retails for $74.95 and the fly reel retails for $89.
