Up for auction is a used Orvis Graphite Spring C reek 935-2- 9' 3" 5 weight 2piece- Fly Rod with original tube and bag. Th is rod was bui lt in 1985 and features a beautiful smoo th casting action. Great for delivering tiny dry flies on big water but enough backbone to fi gh t the wind. This rod is a joy to cast. A fantastic all around trout rod that could be used on a farm pon d for panfish or light bass. All guides. Wraps, and ferrules are in great shape. Tip section looks new than butt section and may have been re-built by Orvis. Cork shows some use but is pretty clean for a 30year old rod as shown in pics. The rod just isn't for me and it deserves a good home. It is in really good shape. With no signs of wear other than a few super-minor scuffs. I purchased on eBay about a year ago and used it twice, I found the action a little too soft for my liking, it has been sitting and it is time to go. I believe these were something like $495 new. Up for sale is my Orvis HLS RM Silver Label Fly Rod. It is a 9 foot. 4 ounce, 9 weight fly rod that has served me well. The rod has normal wear character marks including some very minor abrasions around the guides but absolutely no wrap or structural damage. The rod blank between the handle and the first guide is very nice(as well as the rest of the blank) and that's important as those of us with bad eyes can actually still see that! Has 9 snake guides and 2 regular guides. The only small flaw I see on the rod is visible in picture three where there is a small piece of the cork handle(less than 1/4 inch square) missing. This does not affect the performance of the rod in any way. Also included is: One white River(Bass Pro Shops) fly reel with noticeable wear visible on the outside. However. This is a very smooth reel that has never given ... moreme any problems. I own 5 of these in various sizes and they are my favorite series as I am a novice fly angler. This is a large arbor reel that again, is scratched and not very pretty, but that is what it has done, worked hard and I haven't been the least afraid of using it as it performs great for what I have asked of it. A full reel of Scientific Anglers Mastery Series Fly Line GPX WF-9-F and backing. The tapered leader I used last and 4 foot tippet is even on the reel and tied in place. The line.
