Red Pine Lodge is located on the East Side of beautiful Ivanhoe Lake 11 Km. from Foleyet in the heart of Ontario's finest fishing and hunting districts. This lake with the 27 miles of Ivanhoe River lies among the hills studded with the stately red pine tree. This is wilderness country away from the regular beaten trails of the tourist. Location: Western end of Lake Nipissing, hunting the Sudbury and North Bay Districts, which are two of Ontario’s prime Black Bear hunting areas. Our hunting area is more than 540 Square ... moreKilometers (more than 220 Square Miles!).
Season:
Mid of August until end of October 2014. Spring Bear Hunt to be introduced back, soon.
Length of hunts:
7 days hunt, usually arrival Saturday afternoon, departure the following Saturday morning. Sunday hunting is permitted.
Hunts:
Hunting over baited locations which are reached with your own vehicle. These locations are from one to forty miles from the Lodge via forest access roads.
Guiding:
We work together with a very experienced guide, a skilled black bear hunter himself. He has been born and raised in the area and is familiar with every inch of our Bear Management Area!
ATV’s:
Due to the road conditions at certain areas, ATV’s would ease their accessibility. Please advise, if you would like to rent one of ours or if you intend to bring your own.
Fishing:
As prime hunting times for Black Bear are early morning and late aftrernoon through early evening one of our 16' Lowe boats with 15hp yamaha motor is included in the package. One boat per cottage!

Guests must leave by 10:00 pm or will be considered an overnight guest and a $45.00 over night fee will be automatically charged to the Cottage that they visited. Pets are allowed on a Charge. Must be tied up at all times and barking kept to a minimum. Guests receive orientation upon arrival. Any guests not complying with the rules, regulations or causing damage to the property of West Bay Cottages will require fair and equal reimbursement, which is due and payable prior to departure.
For 1 and 2 nights stay we will require a deposit of 1 night.
If written cancellation is received at least 30 days prior to your arrival date, you may move your reservation to another available date or simply be refunded of your deposit. A cancellation less then 30 day prior will result in being charged the full amount of your reservation. (No exceptions).

Island Outpost Camp is a boat-to outpost camp located 15 miles south of the main lodge in the area of the lake called the Ivanhoe River.... more
The outpost is located on a beautiful 4-acre island and surrounded by some of the most spectacular scenery in the area.
The fishing in this part of the lake is awesome. You will have access to many miles of shoreline with really interesting structure, which attracts big fish. Walleye, Northern Pike and Jumbo Perch are all common and easy to catch. In the spring there is a good population of Whitefish in the area.
Island Outpost Camp is an older cabin but still clean and comfortable. The cabin is equipped with the following amenities:

This cabin sleeps up to 8 people very comfortably with ample room to store your gear.

Coonies Outpost Camp is a boat-to cabin located about 20 miles south of the lodge and in the narrows, which is known as the Ivanhoe River. This area is beautiful and has excellent ... morefishing for Walleye, Northern Pike and Jumbo Perch. In the spring there is a high population of Whitefish in the area.
This is a fairly new outpost cabin and is very specious with three bedrooms, equipped kitchen and living area. It sleeps up to 8 people comfortably. This cabin is fully equipped with running hot and cold water, inside shower and bathroom facilities.
It will be very hard to find a remote outpost cabin with the comforts and accessibility to great fishing like Coonies Outpost Camp
