PENN International II IGFA 30 pound class big game rod. Penn has over 1400 IGFA world records to their name-this is the rod to do it! This rod is mint unfished and has just been sitting in a rack. I mounted a reel to it but never spooled the reel or got to fish with it. Beautiful light weight super strong graphite rod blank- AFTCO/PENN detachable aluminum butt AFTCO roller guides. Gorgeous PENN diamond wraps. The foam foregrip is pretty unique and is perfect- I have seen these with leather or foam grips-this is a nice foam grip. The only reason I didnt use this is was trying to get a matching pair of 30 pound class rod- kinda an OCD thing I have. Rare Vintage Rod and Reel combo, International Sports Corporation 6pc rod, Penn
This is a vintage. Salt water rod and reel combo. The rod is an International Sports Corporation, 6 piece, bait caster. It is approx. 74" and has a cork handle. It is in great condition with slight wear, but less than I would expect. The case has a label in it that also has International Sports Corporation on it. The case has dual lock, but I do not have the keys. One lock has the letter"H" and the other has an"N"I have not been able to find any info on this company? The reel is much easier identified. It is a Penn Peer no.109. With green bake-lite handles. This reel is in great condition. It does not appear to have ever been used. There has been a small amount of dust that has collected over the years. I did not clean it because I am not an expert and would rather sell it in"as found" condition, than damage ... moreit by trying to clean it. The outside of the case shows some wear and tear. But nothing out of the ordinary. It may have lead to the slight wear on the rod. The inside of the case has a couple minor issues. First, one of the strings that hold the rod in place, needs repair. The hook, that holds it in place, slipped off. The hook is in the case and could easily be fixed. There is also a small hinge that has come off. It is in the case, but I did not repair it either. I'm not sure what it's purpose was, but it does not have anything to do with the operation of the case. Again, NO KEYS for the two locks. I do not think the rod has ever been used. But I can not be certain of that. I put the rod and reel together and everything fit snug. The base of the reel looks brand new and appears to never have had any fishing line on it. Penn International II 50SW Deep Sea Fishing Reel Marlin Tuna
Bidding on a Penn International II 50SW Deep sea fishing Reel in great condition. Few minor scratches and dings from rubbing up against other stuff in my trunk. The guy I got it from used it a couple times then it sat in his garage. The only small issue is that one of the bolts that holds the wrap around metal piece in place is sheered off at the base. My friend tells me that it can be done easily with a drill or easy off to get in there and get ahold of it. Works good spins great everything is working. You are buying the reel only in this auction.
