Condition is very good. Just slight top and bottom edge bends, it's slightly oversized. A small left edge tear is repaired inside with thin archive tape. CONDITION: I use a six-step condition scale to describe the overall paper quality: Mint. Excellent, Very Good, Good, Fair, Poor. Good means just that: desireable for a collection with no immediate need to upgrade. Excellent and Mint are usually reserved for publisher and music store remainders. Expect Good-minus and Fair to have considerable wear. All specific condition faults are noted after the general condition. SCANS: The scanner bed is 11" x 17" so the full sheet is shown. The reel shows use with light scratches on the side plates but no cracks or chips, and the nickel plated brass parts have some wear and corrosion on the side pillars. Wooden knob is in great shape. Penn Sea Hawk 1936 Reel Here is a nice Penn Seahawk casting reel. Circa 1936. This reel has a waffle clicker button. The handle pulls out for free spool. Foot is marked 250 yards, a new addition in 1936, according to an article by Michael Cacioppo in the July, 2012 edition of The Reel News, a publication of the Old Reel Collectors Assocation. This article also states that by 1936 side plate molding was done by Penn and the side plates will be mostly black, as this reel has. Also, the handle nut is scalloped, without the later locking screw. The reel shows use with light scratches on the side plates but no cracks or chips, and the chrome plated brass parts have some wear and pitting. Wooden knob is in great shape. Up for auction is this Penn 4200SS. Black& Gold, ultralight spinning reel, in excellent condition. This is a high speed, graphite model, made in the U.S.A. Other than 2 small blemishes, I couldn't find anything to keep me from saying it's in near-perfect condition. The 2 flaws are cosmetic- one is a small chip in the leading edge of the foot, and the other some loss of finish where the handle assembly makes the 90 degree bend near the body. Both should be visible in the pictures. My pictures are always of the actual item(s) so please use the pictures to verify what it is being offered, as well as condition. c) 1950 Penn Yan Aero Dinghy 7' From Asbury Park Bruce Springsteen Estate. This dinghy is in poor condition with many broken ribs and repairs. Please examine the photos before bidding. The seats are good and all hardware is intact. The dinghy retains it's shape and is likely usable as is because it does have a fiberglas covering( not original) This was bought for the BOSS to use on a small pond on the estate but did not pass muster. It would have been too costly to restore. It did reside on the estate for about a year and was subsequently replaced with another. You could own this little castaway that was almost famous.
