Sport King, Pflueger, Shakespeare reels
4 old knuckle busters. The sport king model 69 is very clean and nearly no wear. Nice fish pattern on the handle side plate. The Shakespeare Marhoff has a missing jewel on the left side plate spool cap. Otherwise pretty smooth operation. Quite a bit of brassing on this reel however. The Pflueger Summit reel has both jeweled spool caps but is missing the level wind guide. The worm gear is there but not the rest. Quite a bit of brassing on this reel also. The Shakespeare Direct Drive no. 1924 works very smoothly but the plastic parts on the handle are mostly missing. Except for the Sport King reel. I think these reels would be best used as parts reels. NO RESERVE and NO international shipping. 7 day inspection and money back(except freight) if items are not as described. Must be in same condition as when shipped.

Available is a vintage Pflueger Temco fishing reel. The reel is stamped"free spool. surf-casting" and contains the bull dog logo. The reel has the leather thumb flap and is marked with patent no. 1.450,738; 1,559,496; 1,608,287. The metal parts have a very nice vintage patina color to them and there is some very slight surface corrosion here and there on the metal parts(more on the pillars and spool than on the end pieces) The reel has a very nice and audible click when put into that mode of operation. Vintage 4 Piece Sunnybrook Steel Fishing Rod w/ a Pflueger Akron 1893L Reel
Vintage Sunnybrook four piece hollow steel rod made by Union Hardware of Torrington Connecticut with a Pflueger Akron 1893L reel. The rod is approx 50 1/2" long with a cork handle. The rod is straight and has all the line guides with the red inserts. All line guides are still solid and not bent. The cork on the handle has a couple dents but still looks good. The cap on the end of the handle is missing the two small screws to hold it on so it is loose and can be pulled off. The rod does have some paint loss on it but overall looks good for its age. The reel is fully functional and cosmetically looks good with a couple small scrapes on it. NOTE- I will ship the rod unassembled and wrap all four pieces seperate in bubble wrap along with the reel.

Up for bid is a vintage Pflueger Oceanic 350 yard conventional saltwater fishing reel. This is one large reel.measures about 4-3/8" in diameter. Includes the leather thumb pad. The metal parts have all been buffed to a nice matte finish. No cracks or major nicks in the hard rubber endplates. Mechanically it is in great condition. The only negative would be it is a little noisy. A great reel for display. Or take it out for some vintage fishing. Please look at my pictures, as they comprise part of my description. The hooks are attached on the side of the minnow. I believe that this will cause it to appear injured to the target fish. Does injured equate to extra tasty? Only the fish can tell. The paint is good to very good and bright for a lure of this age but not perfect. The spinners are free and ready to move in the current, The glass eyes are clear and bright. Pflueger Mustang Lure No. 8902, Mint
rats nest template The Pflueger Mustang No. 8902 Size 4 1/4 lure is unused. The front side of the metal lip has the indented words PFLUEGER MUSTANG MADE IN USA. The lure with three treble hooks has a Red Side- Scale finish. The back is dark and the sides have a silver scale pattern separated by gray above and red below. The belly is white. There are four red gills and the eyes are painted yellow and black. The lure is essentially in Mint condition and is a portion of a lure collection maintained by a former Akron Pflueger production manager. I have an early model Pflueger Livewire. Hard to find this one with the dorsel fin. There is a little deterioration in the fin but its mostly there. Red rhinestone eyes are excellant. Tail prop is marked Livewire. Front prop is marked with the bulldog. This 4 7/8" model is overall VG. Just a could of light scratches on the body.

It was patented in 1913 and granted in 1915. In 1919 the glass eye version was introduced and it went from 3 hooks to two till the mid 30's. An early short lived bait. Color is Chub Scale.
