But one of my books identifies the hook attachments on the three ... morelures with the side holes as having been used by Pflueger about 1928. The book also indicates that Heddon used similar hook attachment types. Lot includes: 1) Yellow lure with 4 1/4 inch long body and three holes in each side. Holes angle forward and at least the rear two are connected. All three of the lures with side holes have a swivel attachment on the front. This lure is in pretty good condition, with only a couple lines of crazing and light soiling. 2) Another 4 1/4 inch lure similar to number one. This lure only has one belly hook. A screw on the bottom front apparently attaches to the device that holds the swivel. There is a tiny hole drilled in the bottom front that would allow the attachment of a second hook. I don't know if lure ever had a second belly hook or not. Lure has scales on back and applied glitter on sides. Lure has some paint crazing, a couple tiny chips on the front, and a spot of soiling on the back. 3) Smaller 3 1/16 inch long lure similar to first two, but with two holes each side. Pflueger Templar 500 vintage reel/leather case. Very nice condition.
This is how I found this reel. I have done nothing to it. It came in a leather case that I do not believe was made by Pflueger. It is old as well and reel fits very nicely. Reel has 500 on foot. Pat. dates 1450738 some others then last one is 1608287. I think this reel was made in the mid 1930s. It has no cracks in metal or side plates, very little abuse seen. Three old fishing reels. Shakespeare 1956. Box is in great shape with instruction and parts paper. Reel though is in tough shape. And would need work to function. Same with the Johnny Walker. There is no box for the pfluger, but it is the best functioning of the three. These belonged to my dad who did not throw anything away. Thank you for looking!

Pflueger Hawkeye Fly Reel 100 Yds--Nice
This is a nice Pflueger Hawkeye fly reel in the less common 100 yd size. There are no cracks or chips on the reel. And it shows only minor wear. It's been used, has not been excessively cleaned, and there is still evidence of old fly line residue on the spool. The clicker is strong, and to the best of my knowledge the reel is in very good operating condition. This is a nice reel. If you have any particular questions, please contact me.
