The Quantum is very old and still functions. Models as follows. Quantum MD20. Shimano AX 1000, Shimano AX 2000, Shimano FX 200, Eagle Claw 4030 and an Eagle Claw 402. The 4030 is missing the switch that disengages the anti reverse so it works great but can not back wind. All 6 reels work. Some need a little cleaning as they are dusty from sitting in tote for the last several years. Cosmetically, the reel is in excellent condition with only one small 1/4" rub on the bottom of the case just under the handle. There is also a very small spot on the bottom of the foot. The box is in great condition for cardboard over 50 years old and the reel looks in remarkable shape as well with the exception of the broken handle which can easily be glued back for display purposes. They are both remind me of a simpler time: walking down to the fishing hole with an American made classic over my shoulder whistling away. Oh wait that’s Mayberry RFD oh well you get the picture. The guides are secure and the wraps are tight. There is some fading of the color in the wraps as seen in the pictures. The cork and the reel seat are in good condition. There is no butt cap as seen in the pictures. The rod measures 6' 6" and has 6 guides plus the tip. The rod has medium to medium light action with a moderate tip and a parabolic bend. Vintage Garcia Conlon live fiber 2 piece 7' spinning rod. Model D-452 medium action. It is in mint shape with very little wear. Ferrules, guides and wraps are like new, cork has a tiny bit of loss from being moved around in the tube over the years but is not dry rot. Reel seat is like new with a tiny bit of anodizing loss also from being in the tube. The Garcia logo is on the butt.
