Fishing Rod Building Wrapping Lathe Fly Rods, Spinning Surf Boat Casting Rods
This auction is for a Professional level Rod Builders Lathe and Power Wrapper. I don't know what make it is. There are no marks anywhere on it to indicate the maker. That being said I must emphasize that this is a very well made professional grade piece of equipment. The lathe chuck is adjustable and can be removed to allow different chuck or faceplate to be mounted. The motor runs smoothly and all parts function well. Please look closely, what you see is what you get. I don't know what all the parts do and if everything is complete. The second set of ways(with the thread tensioner) has two additional mounting attachment stanchions that appear to be missing something: most likely accessory components( perhaps additional thread tensioners for doing multiple color wraps or woven patterns) This machine is complete as far as having everything ... morenecessary to build all but the most complex wrapped rod. The overall length of each section is 48" long. Condition is good and works perfectly. There is a bit of surface rust on chuck( which works smoothly) and numerous drip spots of laquer on the lathe ways. You will need a new drive belt( a large"O" Ring works well. Tho motor runs real well but I don't know what the gearing speeds are since I have never used this machine. The Motor is a Dayton(Granger) and is marked 5000 rpm which seem a bit fast to me. You may want to gear this down or replace it with a slower motor. For shipping purposes I will dismantle it so it will fit in the smallest box possible to keep shipping cost down. Shipping will be via UPS Ground. I will not ship this outside the USA

Still has the original cellophane on the card. Part of the cellophane is torn on the side but bait has not been removed. Doesn't get any better than this for the South Bend fly rod bait collector, collector of South Bend Red Head and White, or South Bend Surf Orenos. An outstanding piece in unused condition. You are bidding on a VINTAGE GARCIA CONOLON MODEL 2554 T. 10’ FAST TAPER MEDIUM ACTION SURF FISHING ROD. This rod is designed for 15 TO 30 pound line and 2 to 5 ounce lures. It is a two piece rod that fits together nicely with the metal ferrule connection. It is suppose to have 8 guides total, but all but two are broken or bent, so it does need new guides. Other than the guide problem, everything else seems to be o.k. other than a few marks and some stain on the cork handle. All in all, the finish on this rod is decent and I would say does not need to be redone, just the guides need replacing. Pictures are part of the description. The Eye Loops are all present and the threading is excellent vintage condition with minor finish cracking. 14 1/4" long on the first solid Cork Grip handle and the second Cork will measure 4" Long. Both are also in Excellent Condition with no holes or dents. Minor ware none missing. A metal loop is attached for holding the hook. There is a Rod seat locking with no stamping It's a super cool piece and a rare find. On the side of the rod across is marked or stamped in Black- HERTER'S RH953 This Rod showing moderate overall wear with both pieces in Excellent Condition with no splits. Cracks or Repairs– still retains the shiny luster and color with minor fine varnish cracks due to age. All wraps are solid and complete. All guides. Tip tops, ferrules, hook keeper, winding check and butt cap are in very fine condition. Reel seat works perfectly, with nice hardware. Comes with the original Brown cloth bag. Which does protect however show a few holes, cuts and ware marks. I really dont know about this so will explain the best I can.Up for your bidding pleasure is a rare Japan Daiwa Surf Swing PS 420 30 fishing rod.It looks like my husband never used it as shown.Looks great.Has outer and inner packaging.Inner is cloth?but is yellowish from storing.The outer plastic is good with normal wear and the snap is broke.NOTHING WRONG WITH ROD.Extends to just under 13' 9"I couldnt get a good picture opened so I took pictures of each section.Again looks great and I dont think it was every used.Being the writing is in Japanese I dont know everything it says.I did try searching and could not find another like it.It may be vintage but not sure.I also dont know exactly how old it is.Not sure what type of fishing or water it is for.I will pack well and include insurance and delivery confirmation.Email any questions ... moreand I will answer the best I can.Sold as-is

I am putting up for auction my old True Temper 7 foot Surf Rod. I spent the'60s and'70s working for the Feds out of Langley. Virginia and they had me running all over the east coast. My hobby was saltwater fishing and I had a 28' Owens Cabin Cruiser that I fished from. This old pole has caught fish from Maine to Florida. It has caught big blues, stripers, kings, black and white drum,Cobia, sharks and even a 13 pound flounder, not counting the smaller occasional run of spanish mackeral and grey and speckled trout. I am offering for auction my old 8 foot surf rod.
