This rod was turned into St. Croix for warranty and had broken components at some point. I was able to find matching butt and tip sections in order to make a new complete rod. The handle section is complete with the St. Croix logo scrapped off. This is how they identify warranty return rods, by scrapping off the label. This does not effect the performance of the rod. The last pic shows were the label has been removed. The tip top has also been replaced so it does not match the rest of the guides, but it is a high grade top. Lamiglas Surf & Jetty XS 11 MS 11' Fishing Rod
The rod is in overall very good condition. I have tried to highlight the cosmetic scratches and scuffs from it's normal use and most of those are from airline travel. The rod will be packed securely and shipped in a Flambeau Bazuka II Rod case. The case has a crushed end courtesy of the baggage handling gorillas at Frontier. This does not affect the integrity of the case however. The case is 74" and non-telescoping. Altogether this would be around $360.00 new so I am starting the auction at $100.00. Not sure on shipping but I will ship at the least cost possible so I'll say $30. If it's less I will refund you via Paypal. If it's more then you get an even better deal.

Tubular fiberglass. Upper and lower cork handle has some soiling from handling and is toned with age. Cork is in fine condition with no damage. All threading is intact. Fiberglass has a brown finish which shows very little wear. Rod is as found and plated parts need some minor cleaning of dirt and tarnish. A nice early collectible or fishable Berkley surf rod. Bamboo Spinning Rod. 12.5' Surf Casting Length.
Unusual bamboo spinning rod of unknown origin. 12.5' overall so probably an early surf casting rod. Tip section is darker and possibly impregnated for strength and longevity. Ferrules fit and have no cracks. All wraps are tight. Cork is good. Nice solid reel seat. All 15 guides are good. All three sections are straight. Only minus can find is a couple of barely visible hairline separations at the very stout base of section 2. Which have been finished over and seem to have no effect. If they ever grow, a few intermediary wraps might be in order. Awhile back I mounted a spinning reel and tried some retro casting from the beach.the rod works fine and casts about as far as any other surf rod.
