This auction is for a Berkley Cherrywood C30-7 pole with a South Bend ORENO# 1196 reel. The 2 piece pole appears to be in good condition and measures about 81 inches long put together. I am not sure of the age of either the rod or reel. But they look like older items to me, but I am not an expert in this area. Both rod and reel look to have normal type wear as they are a used item. The reel is a mystery to me. I am not a fly fisherman in any sense of the word and really can not figure out how to work this reel. What I can tell you is that there is no line in the reel but it will turn very easily forward and back. The reel does have some writing on it. It appears to say South bend Quality Tackle NO 1196 ORENO. Please study the pictures closely to determine condition and age. Any questions please let me know. I will do combined shipping and if you are waiting for the conclusion of another auction please let me know. I try to respond to all questions through Ebay messaging as soon as possible. You are bidding on one vintage Copy of a EXPERT No. 22 Fly Reel. There are no markings on the reel as to manufacturer. This reel has nickel or possibly cadmium plated brass construction. The plating is in fair condition with no polished surfaces. It could be other than nickel(see photos) There is a rear frame clicker with a slide button on/off control. The clicker engages, but is weak. It is in working condition. The handle has a plastic or hard rubber knob. The reel measures 3-1/8" diameter, 2-3/4" deep including the handle, and has a foot measuring 2-11/16" long by 5/8" wide. It weighs 10.4 ounces, with packaging it will ship below 1 pound. Up for auction is this gently used. Vintage 1960's Martin 65 single-action fly reel on an 8 ½-foot South Bend Black Beauty fly rod. The reel is Made in USA(Mohawk. NY) in very good condition. No signs of rust or corrosion anywhere. Just needs a little cleaning. I do see a couple of very light scratches on the black side of the reel but hardly noticeable. The fly rod is also in very good condition. I don't see a mark on it. Eyes are pristine. It's a“South Bend Black Beauty. 3685, medium action, graphite composite, 6/7 line weight. It does have a small yellow fly on the end of the line which I haven't bothered to remove. VINTAGE ABU DELTA 5 FLY REEL Made in Sweden This is in superb condition. With no corrosion nor excessive wear. In fact the reel seat is pristine, showing no scuffs or scratches. The pictures are the very best descriptors of this great old reel. The first A.B. U rfabriken fly reels were initially called Records and then later named as ABU reels after 1966. Like all the other A.B. Ufabriken reels. Most originated from the Record name then progressed to the ABU name with further identifying subtitles. Some were badge engineered from other manufacturers but not in this case. All original design and engineering. With the fly reels, there were 3 types of Record produced(Standard, Precision and Double) before the Delta series appeared in 1966 to 1979 and then finally the Diplomat series from 1977 to 1988. The Record Standard was produced by ABU ... morein the guise of both the Delta and Pebco(Model 5) branded models. They were identical in performance and specifications. For sale at a fixed price is this fairly hard to find early 1940s vintage Automatic Fly Fishing Reel. It is the South Bend Bait Company Model 1125 Oren-O-Matic. It is the USA made in Ohio. Paticularly difficult to find is the original marked leather reel bag that you see in the photo. The reel is loaded with the old brown fly line that I think is silk. This one is used but in good condition for one of these with one exception.if you hold the reel to look at it from the side you can see that the bottom plate is slightly bent on one side. It does not interfere with the operation and it is not very noticeable.I only caught when looking at it just now. The reel works smoothly with a nice strong spring. 3 5/8" Diameter sideplates- Reel is smooth operating with a good screw nob drag. Bakelite center piece in spool and bakelite handle nob. A lot of wear on black finish on aluminum frame and spool. THERE IS A SCREW MISSING IN REEL FOOT AND THE OTHER NEEDS TO BE TIGHTENED. AL SO MISSING A SCREW IN ONE OF THE PILLARS. Bottom of reel foot marked JAPAN. Has clean fly line on spool but no backing. A good fishible reel if you have a screws. Reel would look fine if you took off all the black finish and left the natural aluminum. FREE SHIPPING IN USA ONLY.

VINTAGE UNKNOWN UNMARKED FLY FISHING REEL
Vintage unknown. Unmarked fly fishing reel. The frame appears to be aluminum, and one of the plates could be brass, the other plate looks and feels like bakelite. Not sure though. No markings as to brand or place of manufacture. Reel shows overall wear, particularly to the rims. There are some corrosion patches also, and the handle knob looks like it's undergone some shrinkage and does not turn easily on the post. Reel still has old line on it. Crank is noisy and somewhat rough. Measures approx. 2 7/8" in diameter and about 1 1/4" wide. Feel free to email us with questions. Thanks for looking

Vintage Shakespeare Russell 1889 model HC fly fishing reel. Reel shows overall wear. Particularly at the tops of the rims. See pictures) It still has line on the spool.
