RL Winston WT 8 1/2' 4wt Fly Rod
Up for bid is a very nice RL WInston WT(Winston Traditional) 8 1/2 foot 4 weight w/ Rod. Tube, and Sock. Serial#99072. Rod is 2 piece, cigar handle, and a dark zebra reel seat. Tube has a few scratches on it. Rod is in great condition having only been fished a handful of times. Sections fit together very tight. Nice Rod ordered a new rod so I am selling this one. Rare Antique Casper Co. Whiskey Stoneware Jug Winston-Salem N.C. RARE
Wow super rare The Casper Whiskey Co. Stoneware Jug. This orginial jug was a mail order jug which was distributed from John Casper whiskey plant in Winston-Salem N.C. sometime in the late 1800's to early 1900's. John Casper was a terrific salesman and boasted that his mail order whiskey was the lowest priced and best. North Carolina which had many anti-drinking activist soon tighten up the laws on John and banned whiskey and it's mail order sale in 1906. Casper then moved his whiskey business to Roanoke Virginia and in 1913 closed due to strick laws which crippled his business. This antique jug comes from the N. C. plant and has a clear blue stamp on the front: FROM THE CASPER CO. WINSTON-SALEM. N.C. LOWEST PRICE WHISKEY HOUSE, WRITE FOR CONFIDENTIAL LIST. Jug measures approx 13 inches to bottom of jug to top of wire handle and ... moreis approx 7 inches at it's thickest. Jug has web cracks like most vintage salt stoneware items do and a small chip on to of jug at handle hole and a small chip on the bottom jug. Wood on wire handle has a defect and not for certain if its orginial handle? Also don't believe the cork stopper is orginial but not for sure? Overall jug is sound and has no cracks and in good shape for it's age and is extremely hard to find. Any minor defects I've missed is purely accidental and not meant to deceive you the buyer. So look at the photo's closely and ask questions before you bid. A really nice Casper Whiskey collectable. They're just not making any more of these jugs. But look at my return police on this item. Please visit my store for other hard2find items and don't be afraid to make a reasonable offer. But please don't low ball me thinking you can sell the item in your store. Very NIce Winston IBIS 376-4 Fly Rod. Near Perfect 4 Piece 7'6" #3 wt. Line
This is an excellent Winston rod in very good condition. The only sign of use is limited to a few fine surface scratches(see photo) in the butt section. Individually hand numbered with its own serial code to ensure its lifetime warranty. Even the cork handle looks almost new. It has been fished maybe 2-3 times for a few hours total. This series is relatively quick and can be used with either a Standard or a GPX-type(fast) taper. It is relatively fast but casts very well with a slower stroke too. It's deadly for short ranges but has the power to throw from 20 to plenty(about 60 plus feet) with ease and accuracy. It is inherently handsome with a cocobolo handle and cigar-shaped handle. The burgundy brown finish is rich and the rod is solid. You will not be disappointed. I am selling this at a discount.
