Lamson 3 reel, 9-foot, 4-piece graphite pack rod, Wave case - complete outfit
This is a barely used Lamson 3 reel with a 9-foot. 4-piece pack rod and a Wave case. I bought this outfit for back-country trips chasing steelhead and salmon in Upstate New York and Ontario, Canada, and for hike-in trips for trout out west. It was used for less than 10 trips. I tucked the outfit in a closet last time I used it, about 15 years ago, and just discovered it while cleaning things out for a cross-country move. The reel seems smooth and was stored with the drag at the lowest setting. The graphite pack rod doesn't have any markings, but as I recall it is a 6-7 weight and came from either Cabelas, LL Bean, or Orvis. It has a good action, casts like a 6-7 weight, and while I would recommend replacing the line, it seems like it would still be usable. Lamson Litespeed Hard Alox Fly Reel - 3.0
For sale one gently used Hard Alox Lamson Litespeed 3.0 Fly Reel. This reel is made for a 7-8 fly line and will hold 150 yards of 20 lb. dacron backing with a WF-7 fly line. It is the first generation Litespeed Hard Alox with their famous sealed conical drag system and comes with the original neoprene case. The reel is in excellent shape with a few small scratches as shown on the pictures. I would classify the reel as an 8 out of 10. Included are the instruc tions and blank warranty ca rd. Vintage Lamson DCA-3 fly reel (salt or freshwater), WF-6-F, box, neoprene pouch
In immaculate. Undamaged condition, this 1980s Lamson DCA-3 fly reel has only been used once in freshwater, weighs 5.9 oz and is ideal for a WF-6-F fly line. The reel is suitable for both salt and freshwater as the case and spool are made from corrosion resistant die cast aluminium. As are all internal parts. Retrieval can easily be converted from left to right hand or vice versa. This Lamson reel was manufactured as a division of Sage. The new owners. Waterworks, will presumably honour the original Lamson unconditional guarantee as per the enclosed mini owners manual. The reel comes with its original. I have listed this reel as used. And that is due to it having been fished one time. It is in like new condition as is the line. Comes pre-spooled with a Rio Gold WF4F fly line which retails for $75, plus correct amount of backing. Comes in original neoprene pouch but no box. This is a great reel but never gets used so putting it up to fund my daughter getting a fly rod of her own. Reel retails for $199 plus the cost of line and backing.
