Orvis Superfine Trout Bum 6' 2 wt 4 piece rod in excellent condition! This is on of the 1 oz series of Orvis rods although I believe that this one actually weights 1.2 oz. It feels extremely light in hand and is a joy to cast! It's a Full-Flex 3.0 rod using Orvis' measuring system but it's not a slow rod and casts very nicely with both 2 and 3 wt lines. I used a 2 wt double taper on it with great success. At 6' in length and 4 pieces the rod tube is less than 22" long and fits easily in carry-on luggage. This is perfect for small stream. Tight quarters fishing. The rod is in excellent condition with very few signs of wear. I went over it from tip to butt while with a damp rag to make sure there were no scratches or gouges. The cork is also in great shape as you can see from the photo. The rod sock is in very good ... morecondition with no stains. There are some light scratches on the rod tube cap as well as a few scratches on the tube. All in all it's a superb ultralight fly-fishing rod! Feel free to ask questions. USA buyers only.

Up for auction is a really nice 6 wt. Orvis fly rod. The model is an 8' trout" and weighs 2 5/8 ounces. It is a great rod for both beginners and experienced fly fishermen with a medium action. I found it easy to use and caught quite a few fish with it. The rod itself is in excellent condition with no scratches or blemishes. The case on the other hand has seen better days. It has a small dent. Numerous imperfections, and the stickers are scratched. All of this can be seen in the pics. All in all a really good rod. As you can see in the pictures. This rod is in very good condition. The handle has very minimal soiling and wearing. The top section(tip) of the rod has been recently replaced by Orvis through their faithful 25 years warranty. I have not used the rod since the replacement. Orvis stopped making this rod a long time ago. This model has been replace by Superfine models.The rod only weighs 1 ounce. It feels super light in your hand. Very nice Orvis Far& Fine fly rod. 7'9" for 5 weight. 2 5/8 oz. This one is in really nice condition- check the pics. Throws a beautiful WF5 and DT4 and I've even thrown a 3 weight with it on occasions. One note: the alignment dot on the tip section is rubbed off. You can still kind of were where it was, but its almost gone. The one on the butt section is perfect. I'm selling this rod knowing I'm going to regret selling it. I have too many fly rods. And in particlualr 5 weight fly rods. For me, this rod fits the same niche as another Orvis Superfine I have, an 8'6" 5wt Henry's Fork. I'd say the Far& Fine throws a nicer loop and is much lighter in the hand(even though the FnF is 2 5/8 ounces and the Henry's Fork is 2 1/2 ounces) Its also in much nicer shape than my Henry's Fork, which is ... morefull of scratches. RARE Superfine Orvis Bamboo Fly Rod 1 Solid Piece
Bidding on a Vintage Orvis Fly Rod. I'm not exactly sure of it's age but the serial number is 49913 and that number matches the serial number on the origional metal rod container. On the rod itself it has written"Orvis Imbreanated" Superfine" 6'1 7/8oz" H.D.G.6) I can not find a crack or splinter anywhere on this rod. I have taken pictures of all the eyes and the cork. It is a one solid piece which as you know is rare. Everything on the metal case matches up with the rod. Older VTG ORVIS TU Limited Edition 8' 6 wt Fly Rod SUPERFINE Unsanded
This particular Orvis rod was given to people that would sign up for a lifetime TU membership in the late 80's or early 90's. At 8' long and 2 5/8 oz for a 6 wt. I believe that it is the same taper as the sought after Superfine which came in the same measurements. This classic Orvis rod has never been fished. Only cast a couple of times in the yard. Very slight soiling to the cork as you can see. Orvis Superfine 7' Impregnated Bamboo Fly Rod - Rare
This is not a display case queen. It has been used and much enjoyed! It has seen many fishing trips, most memorable one to Goose Bay Labrador where the brook trout in photo was caught 26" 6 1/2 lbs 1977. This rod was completed by Orvis in May of 1970. It is in very good condition considering the age and use of this fine rod, One of the tips has been professionally repaired as you can see in the photo's. This Orvis rod has plenty of life left in it,it just needs someone to fish it. The tube has a few dents from the airlines but it is fully functional for rod storage. Happy bidding! and good luck.

Orvis Superfine Touch Fly Fishing Rod - 7'6" 1wt Full Flex (WITH LINE)
It is heartbreaking for me to sell this rod. But I moved to Florida where there are no trout. I've sold almost all of my trout stuff- this is one of the last items to go. I hope to be back around trout with a rod like this one day. I only got to use it a few times up north before my move, so it is in excellent condition. I'd rather have some money toward a saltwater rod and let someone else use it than have to see it sitting in the closet and get angry every other day. This rod comes with a 1 WT Weight Forward Superfine Line(see pic of the line) So all you need is a reel with some backing. Which you probably already have if you are buying this. Up For Auction: From an Estate Sale. An 8' 4 Piece, 4 Weight Full Flex Orvis Superfine Touch Fly Rod. This rod has been custom made at the Orvis factory using the Slip Ring reel seat as the Classic Orvis Superfine's had. This seat is much simpler and more in line with such a light rod; I always thought the Gold Aluminum Harware and Orvis Monicer Wood was a bit blingy anyways. The rod looks like it may have been lawn cast or maybe taken out on the water once. There is not a scratch on it and it is in very fine condition. You can see a review of this specific rod on the Trout Underground Website. These are truely lovely small stream sticks. Absolutely no dissapointments here at all.
