One Eskimo brand gas powered 8" ice auger. It is the Sportsman model 8901. It has a Tecumseh TCII 31.33 cc 2 cycle gas engine. It has started easily and run strong for me every time. There are scratches. Scrapes, some paint missing, and even some light rust. The blades are very sharp. After every use I would coat the blades with heavy, sticky grease to keep them from rusting. Like I said, the blades are very sharp, but replacements are available, they are quantum blades. Earthquake / Eskimo 43CC Power Head and 8" Earth Auger
I have an Ardisam Earthquake E43 Viper power head and 8"post hole digger for sale. This is the same power head used on Eskimo 43CC ice augers. Only difference is this has a good air filter and heavier gear box. If you have a ice auger bit this can be used to power it. I drained the gas out of it the last time I had used it. I poured a little gas in it and it started fine when I pulled it out of storage. I drilled no more than 30 post holes with it and used it 1 ice fishing season.

Selling a seldom used power ice auger. Not sure of the year of manufacture. But it is heavy-duty, old school, made in the USA quality-with quite the patriotic color scheme;o) The company does not exist anymore, being bought out by Strike Master in the 1970's. Anyway, the auger is in really awesome condition, the only prob I can find is it seems to be missing an air filter cover, if it came with one. I tried to get it running this fall, but Im not very wise in the ways of 2-cycle carbs. It has great compression and spark and will fire but not stay running. It is a Tecumseh engine and I believe 34cc. Worst case scenario, you throw on a new carb and have an auger that will run circles around the stuff made nowadays and will last you the rest of your life.
